I don't see why this is causing such an issue .... Leave the numbers uncapped as they are and here's why,

•for starters isn't the point of recruiting for a guild so you guild can grow and have strength in numbers? Limiting it at sw defies the point of that completely.

• the reason the fight has to be fought inside sw to take it I can only imagine is to limit the numbers as tbh that map is huge and sw palace is tiny.

• all that will happen is you will get 40 of the richest irl players (MasterCard warriors) in game who will fight it out for sw week in and week out leaving everybody in lack of any real fighting.

• why does it need to have a reward .... One of the most positive reviews I've seen of sabuk wall on this server came when the wall couldn't even be taken, was between team & foresaken I do believe. It had a gold system as far as I recall on euro .... Well something similar would do .... Gold maybe not the best idea but you catch my drift, maybe the holding guild could get a token to spawn an omaking in sw once a week? Just an idea like.

What I think the best option is is simply to leave it as it is cap wise .... You need to be incouraging people to log on your server and fight not discouraging them.

Make the reward something like a boss spawn token nothing immense but still worth fighting for.

Could even make it so it can't be accessed by any other guild apart from during a war put a trainer and a town tele npc and make it like a gt tbh .... Somewhere to level skills or just go afk in peace most people I asked miss gts anyways so why not turn sabuk wall into one for the holding guild..?

Just my 2pence and feel free to disagree but I really do feel this is a problem that doesn't need to be one ....

Peace :)

Does it seem to anyone else that the guild with the biggest numbers and allies is going to ask everyone to visit forum and vote uncapped?
Because numbers will matter and they win the poll proving the point.

The issue is you can't reward with the old system because its not a "fair" fight... You might as well just give the already largest/most powerful guild a free reward.

@melkor
this isnt a troll is it?
If uncapped just give SW to Forsaken and all their allies and other advantages
If capped give it to the guild that wins most fights.

Why not change the time of SW so that DD can have go? Looks like they have huge numbers too.
Make so whoever calls or the war decides if its capped or uncapped and what time

Sorry seen this a few times, as far as I'm aware forsaken don't have any allies???

I'm on the fence with this one
30vs30 and set with class rules or maybe even a random teleost system could be fun.

For example at time of the guild war 30 members are selected from the guild page (online) and teleported in. This way it would be a right laugh. Stops guilds sending in their top 30 over and over again and gives a chance for anyone in theguild to join in.

Or just sod the cap off

Mordor and myself have spent the good part of the last year building up Forsaken with the end result being a high member count guild full of active, solid players - why should we be handicapped for being successful? If other guilds want a chance at Sabuk then they should recruit more if they feel at a disadvantage, that's what we did.

In relation to the DD time comment, this is a predominantly UK based server so it wouldn't make sense to change the war time to suit 5% of the server count in my opinion at least.

As mentioned in my previous post, everyone should be able to get involved at SW not just every guilds key players.

So, Sam ..

  • Capped 27
  • Not Capped. 25

The poll at this moment is a 50/50 split give or take, should we start to think maybe something with a bit of both would be better ?

Maybe have it so there is no cap involved at the start, but I did like the idea someone gave of having a "jail" so when you die, you are unable to join back unless you pay an excess (just at an NPC back in town) to resume the fight .. Doesn't have to be much, 50k (could well be incremented per death) .. and then at the end of the war - both guilds get the oppositions death pot

That way, even if you lose the main battle to hold the palace, you still get a nice bonus for being the better guild in terms of player kills

Problem with the whole fair thing is it won't be fair.
Unless you make it so everyone who plays in SW has the same stats, skills, equipment, speed and level, it won't be fair.

Then the only thing seperating people would be their skill.
Mir has never been fair, it won't ever be fair, that's the point isn't it.

A thoughtful response. But why not let DD have a try every now and then. They deserve to join in too.
My objection is that recruiting huge numbers in a small player base gives you an advantage. It's not fair. I do not want to see the server dominated by a guild that does so on numbers. Thats not fair.
I do not know why the guild member cap went up from 100 to 150. That was a very odd decision with a player count of less than 200
I suspect you recruited once you got SW by default merging with orgasmics for a handover( then by no fight walk in) so you looked successful. This isnt fair
Then you have all those amazing kit players being so very visible. They dont really play. That's not fair.
I do not believe pressing some buttons to get more members is difficult.
So to make it fair if that is the object of all this you cant have huge numbers on one side and few on the other.
Nor can you have all level 50+ only representing the guild.

My suggestion
Inside the palace 5 of each guild 2 x level 40-45 2 x level 46-50 1 x level 50+ subject to negotiation
everyone else outside where you can have your mass brawl where numbers count no point in walling. The winners are the ones with the highest kill count or the most clicks on the SW winner npc. Inside counts for 5points each death outside counts for 1point. No points if killed by an ally or someone not from the 2 contesting guilds.
That way DD and anyone else who fancies can just turn up fight and be a nuisance.
I like the idea of no drop tokens until you die a few times this gives everyone a chance. to join in at least for a while.
In my opinion if you dont want to drop you shouldnt be fighting but seems I am out numbered there
