I have been appointed to express the guilds feelings towards the punishment handed out last night to the 24 players in question.
Background Information
This exploit was found completely randomly from dashing poison orbs in demon cave. This was heavily exploited on the first evening involving around 10/11 players, who made a large % of experience in a short space of time. As word got out the next morning, we decided to go back the second evening with the intent to exploit, unfortunqtely this had already been reported and fixed by the server team.
Reality
The claim that 24 players were involved and benefitted in this exploit is false. Only 10/11 players on the first evening were involved and benefitted from this exploit.
For example, a player like Loosecannon only attended on the second evening, he therefore gained zero experience from the exploit because it was fixed but lost over 100% experience as a punishment for only intent.
The most ironic thing is the players who went on the first evening come out of this better than the players who went on the second evening because they gained so much expierence on the first evening but were punished just the same as players who went on the second evening.
I understand you don't want to be wasting anymore time on this but I think clarrifcation on how you came to the conclusion 24 players should be de-lvled needs to be explained.
Please can there be a public response as I know many players in my guild are feeling like this has been an injustice as you can't really punish players just for intent, if so, there would be minimal players left on the server who haven't been punished in some way.
Some players we're simply attending a gatekeeper hunt (some actually logged before we entered the demon cave) and have been de-lvled, I can't see any consistancy in this.
Regards
Team
