It has next to no HP so is instantly destroyed by any aoe rendering It useless in 99% of fights. Can it be linked to an assassins MP like clone so that it will stay alive until either MP reaches 0 or a time limit is reached.

If you fail to cast I don't believe the cooldown should remain in place, or a much shorter cooldown should be implemented when you fail.

Make it just have 5 accuracy and cut through all AC/MAC? That way it will roughly have a 30% chance of flinch. Currently the spell does nothing on targets with any defensive gear. I.e. iNoob's lvl 3 darkbody hits me maybe 1/5 times and I can 2 hit it.

On C# files darkbody have the same dc as the caster and it has swift feet, tho it only lasts for like 10 seconds (not cutting through anything btw) @ lvl 3.
Just an idea..

We have been on this for months... Highest level sin skill with the longest cool down in game and its both useless by design and bugged....

Tried to kill a shinsu with my level 46 spell (level 2). It took about 15hp off the shinsu before it was killed by the pet.

Shinsu nerf please they are clearly OP for a 36? spell

Perhaps take the WoW approach. Make sin clones completely immune to any AoE damage, has to be single target that kills it.

Then obviously buff its damage as it's hitting like a twig atm.

It doesn't even piece ac/amc to make it at least sort of some times usefull. I use it to distract an extra monster once every 2 mins while leveling to save an hp pot an a wee bit off dura.....best max spell ever.

Possible suggestions (not all of these at the same time obviously):

-leave it like it is but allow it to pierce and automatically cast slow on the target no matter what/who the target it
-make the explosion do alot more damage. (since its on a long cooldown it is pretty hard for it to become over powered)
-significantly increase the health and damage. It should be able to easily take out a high ish monster since it is a 46 spell. (if you go this route it should be significantly more powerful than deva or clone, both lower level spells that flinch the target and have no cooldown)
-Make the caster go completely invisible (it does this on official, but I am not using official as a benchmark)
-Add a buff to the Sin or a debuff to the target if both the sin and the Dark body are hitting the target at the same time

I like the slow idea alot for pvp and it means the enemy will try to take the darkbody out before it gets them.
It doesnt offer much for pve though so I guess it depends on what route they want the spell to go.
Currently its good for nothing

I wouldn't mind having a guaranteed slow on bosses, even if it was only once every 2 mins.

My idea on how this spell could work would be:
Cast spell, go invisible and spawn a medium/low HP "clone" which runs to the target and begins to attack, doing flinch damage.
After 5(?) seconds, the clone disappears - no explosion.
However, if the assassin comes within one space of the clone, it will explode, causing AoE damage (medium amount...)

I imagine if it was this way;
It could be used as a distraction for mobs in PvE.
It could be used as a flinch in PvP, until the assassin reaches you, popping the explosion which acts as an initiator spell. Victims would need to either RUN, slow the assassin down, or kill the clone.

Initiator / distraction.

I thought of this idea 10 minutes ago while reading through all of your posts.
I don't fully understand the current state of the spell, and I don't play assassin.
It might be OTT, it might generally suck!
Lemme know what you think.

Would be wonderful to get more than just a "its on the list" response for this one after sooo long. Even just a hot fix, times everything by X10 so it is usable until you can actually fix it.

See other things get fixed really quickly. This surely could get a tweak so its usable until a rework is done

Oooo. Give the clone 500HP, can only be killed by single target damage. Acts like a pro ring so 50% of damage received gets taken off the clone instead.
