When I made these I used shortys map editor along with the 1.4 map editor (I believe) for deleting objects. They are both buggy in their ways but you need to know how to map around these issues.

This is exactly what WoW did and look how seperated the PvP and PvE scenes are. Two lots of gear for two seperate scenes. Mir is good because of how well the PvP and PvE scenes mix up.
I think a cap shouldn't be put in place either. If people want to out run the content then that's their choice.
Even if he did choose to not make a new server he wouldn't be failing anyone. The amount of time these guys, especially Sam, has dedicated to this project is mad.

Because people who use files too make quick £££ always leave players feeling negative about the server and the files because of the experience they had playing these sorts of servers due to the way they were run which generally means not using the files to their full potential.

So you're saying you'd rather have the files released with quite a number of known bugs within the code, with an unbalanced Envir and a database that has been mashed together? This will only result in a chain reaction of crappy servers that will abuse these new files to make some quick £££...

We've had some time off development due to some IRL issues and busy periods at work. This time off has given us a chance to properly think about the most important things that need looking at for when we release our next beta phase. Sijo is still alive and always will be.
The problem is they are working to develop the files to stop people using speedhacks which always generates a lot of problems in-game. You'll have to bare with the Ace team as they continue to work on developing the files. Ofcourse innocent people will be punished wrongly and unintentionally and...
Regarding this it's hard to say but of course the master leveler will always be the wizard class due to its AOE spells. But then again warriors and taoists have a lot more skills and some being powerful AOE attacks so it should be interesting to see how it all balances out eventually.

Item durability is something I'll be looking at more closely than you'd expect to see servers doing because it makes a big difference in the long run. Durability won't be too high or too low but some-what reasonable to the item's drop chance, level and item type (weapon, ring etc).

I think this isn't a coded feature, I think it's something they've scripted in specifically for their server. Even if it is a coded feature we wouldn't use it because scarcity is something we'll be looking at.
