Some things should be rare, I remember the pride a lot of guildies felt on Euro with the first Great Blades and that Tao sword I can't remember the name of and Spiral Soul Blades and Heaven Staff etc.
That is funny, I've never run a private server ever. The QGO/GR server that launched here a few years back was Chris and Dale.
As for inside info, me and BlueRose only ever knew about things that were broken, that was what we did, reported to the bug system that Wemade used to track issues...
While I appreciate the thought and its flattering feedback, I wouldn't really want to know anything that meant I could no longer play.
Happy to be a part of a focus group or spit-balling ideas around, but anything that means I have to stop playing would probably be too much for me.
The way I read it was if they had the old drops (global to all) plus the guaranteed drop system both together it would work as he described it.
My interpretation is because of guaranteed drops that is why they are also individual to stop what he described from happening.
Only way around it...
Probably a much larger piece of work than people expect. A lot of the new skills are part of a system that we've never had in any version (at least that I've seen), I posted some images of the system here: https://imgur.com/a/nzdqp
There are some others that are just normal level based that...
It's about gauging intention, if the person clearly knew what they were doing and intended on exploiting then they should be punished.
Honest mistakes happen. But those are far easier to spot when it wasn't intentional.
Agree, there are entire feedback threads with multiple replies and people being pretty decent for a change. Yet not a single acknowledgement from staff. Example the one I started.
As I’ve said before you can’t balance a class around skills it might not have. This is why almost all modern games just give you your skills for some nominal cost, it’s easier from a design and balance perspective.
Even the likes of wow where they encouraged huge AP grind gave you something...
There would have been a way, it was just a lot of work to do. If the DB structure is right and his server logging is good you could find anything anywhere.
And herein lies the answer to why businesses have product managers, designers, systems engineers, developers, customer support etc all separate.
No disrespect to anyone that does any of those jobs, they all require different skills sets was my point.
I've always hated the book/skill system in Mir, you can't balance around skills people might not have and could spend 10 levels above the skill getting.
Either everything that drops from WD or above from a book perspective is 100/100 (in Euro, all books WD or above dropped as full manuals) or...
Yes that’s possible, the only thing that’s a little disheartening is the highest levels have had all the advantages of the old system. The lower levels have felt the hit from this change the most (even though I completely agree the change was needed).
It will be harder to level as quick or...
Take a look at what they have done before you comment, it is from the ground up, everything was changed, it was part of the transition from Wemade to YDOnline. They had returning player bonuses and also a lot of changes for new players.
Every single item from the start of the game to the end...
If itemisation was fine why did the Koreans spend months rebalancing them all? I did a thread with examples of all the new item stats, mob stats. What they don't publish as easily are the skill changes, need a native Korean speaker to work that out.
