    98se I used touse , But XP runs faster on this old rig 4 me, and crashes less. (so faster, because of non frequent reboots). The reason I asked is because I know some people here use it, and so I was asking there advise, and what advantages it had, also why the ****y reply, then the clever reply?

    right, 52x24x52 is the fastest burn speed atm. That is 52 speed write, 24 speed rewrite, 52 speed read, thats not bad, if your buying think abit, because there may be not software with it. you could be better of buying elsewhere, but I dont know, is he selling, is it branded?

    now I've just got to decide what pc im getting.. found a few company's gonna go over £1000 maybe £1200 because of network (damn why wont my dad just have wires and save me a bomb...

    thats the advantage with the NETGEAR DG824M, it has it's own power supply so the pc's work seperatly but it cost £130 which is a pain..

    edit: it is 802.11b should I find a differnet brand using the 802.11g? as this is faster, does it make a huge difference or will I be ok?
