Re: fao daneo
To be fair I imagine the post said something a bit different originally. Doesn't make you wrong of course, just maybe it was less relevant to discuss Daneo at that point
Tis true, but it just seemed like more RNG on top of the RNG already. Having a reliable/stable system didn't seem too bad to me, as long as the end result matches (negating the 'easy 5-5' you mention... that would only be an issue if the server owner can't tune. They decide what the end result...
Personally, I just prefer the plain old levelling.
Can be pure 'every exp you earn gives x% to weapon', or a more refined 'find mats and use them to 'charge' the weapon exp (think ff13 upgrading items system).
Although any weapon levelling in Mir seems odd to me - unless the bridge between...
Sure Jamie is smart enough to not just message them with 'hey' or 'you there' or some generic bullshit that would be easy to counter with botting.
Like to think he's popping up going 'quick, whats 2+2!?' or 'I'm the ban-hammer wielding goblin. You have 20 seconds to say my name backwards to...
'Tis true, but in a game where slowly progressing is the be all and end all, skills were massively important for feeling power growth. Whilst I don't necessarily like the 'use skill 1 miillion times to lvl' is all that, I do think the actual levelling itself is important.
Much as I hate RNG...
How you gonna makes classes defined then? Why is a warrior that chooses MC and spells different to a wiz or vice versa?
No negativity here btw, just interested. Should probably just wait til I get on, but...you know, I can't wait
So you won't get inherent skills, they'll be assigned to gems and you then equip the gem getting access to skill (Path of Exile style)? Or the gems just add things to class skills?
Jamie didn't want it as it just causes nothing but **** and suspicion I imagine.
But that I'll give them a chance as they may not know English so can't know rules" seems very weak. But have you ever actually explicitly said you won't allow it? If you have, on your forums perhaps, then yeah...
Random thought as I know 0 details, but was it in issue with money not coming through or something like that? We had an issue with them recently where they were incorrectly listing the payment made by customers as paypal cheque and thus not notifiying us until the 'cheque' clears.
Yet idle games are a massive part of online games :D I have just kinda accepted that Mir is just an 'interactive idle' game now, and love it for it :)
I agree however
