    You're clinically insane if you think it's wise to buy a laptop now, when it's main use will be next year. Given that Intel are in the process of making their Desktop chips comparable again, and the fact that the prices for things can only go down, you'd do well to wait a few months.

    As far as I remember, the point of the tech demo was to show what the CELL could do in terms of rendering. It definately wasn't representative of a complete Ps3, as the RSX wasn't even ready then.

    I've been using this for a while now. It's suprisingly well-featured, for an open-source app. It's also shockingly well polished. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for something a little more up to date, before Vista shows up.
