Server list - add your server!

[Moved to more approapriate section (from GoT to Mir Chat)] @Tuma: You forgot the rule about not posting in GoT if there is already a forum for it ;). Also, RZ is authorised, your site is not. (Yes, I say you can advertise here). In future, rather than sticking our rules in our faces, PM your...

    my internet connection downloading!

Whats your rated connection speed Speckle? You might also want to consider using Azureus as your bittorrent client, which is much better at peer management. Az will find the best peers for you, whereas BC will connect to any peer it can upto your preferred limit. /Leo

    Xbox 360!

Whats worrying is the people that express their feelings on this thread could be considerd as electronic/pc litterate... Imagine how many sales 'are being/will be' lost to people who have even less of a clue (yes, believe it or not there are dumber people than those that inhabit GoT). /Leo

    Whats it called when?

Then do a competitor analysis - which is where you'd find what other products say about nut allergies. /Leo

    Whats it called when?

What you should be asking is... why are people getting rashes from peanuts when they should be eating them, not scratching them against their skin (which I imagine is what they think the rash is). Use google :P http://www.ich.ucl.ac.uk/factsheets/families/F000279/ /Leo

    College?

If I were you, I wouldn't be so confident in your assessment. If your going to do a REAL computer course, i'd say theres a 7/10 chance you will be cohersed into some sort of maths module - especially if your hoping to do more than put pretty pictures into a HTML page. You think you can get by...

    College?

Ill be frank (keep in mind I'm in college)... Your preferred job choice will very likely not much care which or how good you did in your GCSE/GCE - unless your aiming for a good white collar job. They care a lot more about experiance. The same can be said for degrees... many businesses are...

    SHOUTcast and Nat

If your PC is connected through a modem (NOT A ROUTER/SWITCH), then there should be no problems once the firewall is down. Can you give us at least the first bit of the IP address you are using for other people to connect... just incase your using your network one rather than your ISP's. /Leo

Wind-up laptop with Wi-Fi? Yes please!!

Are you trying to be funny, or just plain ignorant? They're for poorer countries+markets... their sole purpose being to aid children and bridge the third world gap. A brilliant idea if I ever saw one. /Leo

    ZoneAlarm

If your not using the server pc then the good old windows firewall will surfice. However if you have the technical capability of your average AOL user... get ZoneAlarm - cracked if need be (search the torrent sites). There is also a perfectly good free version of ZA. /Leo

    Sky TV Via PC

@LH: Yea I've seen a few of those streaming paytv things... links go down very quickly though (no wonder with the amount of upstream required). Get yourself a 80CM Sat dish and a DVB-S PCI card, you'll be happy. /Leo

    Anti-Hacking Idea

Leo's made the application already. However since the application in question is not dependant on the server, a more generic search will have to be used (considering different servers have different ways of managing etc). Also, why should a huge time consuming external system be used? - Server...

    PrivateServer Population Activity Statistics 10/05

The current 'market' says theres around 120 players to contend for - hardly constitues being dead. Theres also 320 LOMCN users... so you can assume theres between 1-200 potential/sparse players which are just waiting to be whoo'd too. /Leo

    PrivateServer Population Activity Statistics 10/05

But in reflection asda, showing servers that have their own communities would distort stats from servers given an equal start from here. Theres nothing stopping the servers that block SC4 from opening their port (especially if they realised someone can do a lot more harm through the logingate...

    block folders

Farril lives in a dream world, let him be. No you cant just magically add a password to a folder in any version of WinXP without additional software. You can however add passwords to 'compressed folders' - which are ZIP's. There are also things called permissions which let you set which users...
