    Depends on firewalls, internet control systems etc etc. Our network is ridiculously secure and locked down, even if I allow connections through our firewall it still DC's me now and then. But i just use our ADSL line to connect and never get DC.

    That's not right. Basically on Ace we did it so: Only a max of +3 of one stat from Gems/Orbs Max of +5 in total. E.g. DC+3 AC+2 from gems/Orbs and no more would work.     This is why gemming should be difficult, and people not risking using them that often. +1 may be easy, but who'd waste a gem on a coral ring? Then who'd risk a gem on a PowerRing just for +1 DC. +2 would be much more harder to get, and quite a risk to take on certain items, yet some would...
