port forwarding depends on what router you have

just go into your router setup and there will be a tab called port forward and you do it from there

and if you had of done a search you would of found many links to a guide

http://crystalserver.net/guides/linksys.html

i tried using this guide but it totaly messed up my router. IM wondering if someone who has it working on a belkin router can help me ?

my router is a D-Link wireless router, but i cant find port forwarding anywhere. I do have that DMZ thing though, just dont no how to use it.

Also Nero you should tell your m8 to try 192.168.0.1 to access router administration, that might work.

Well i have my port forwarding done okay and if i understand correctly all the first part of crystal's guide is doing is setting up a static ip for yourself which i have done. So what am i doing wrong ? Maybe my ips are setup wrong cause when i used crystals guide i connected on 127.0.0.1 still but when i changed all of mine the m2server didnt connect and stopped on 192.168.2.4:6000 i think

µÇ¼·þÎñÆ÷(192.168.2.4:5600)Á¬½Ó³É¹¦...
10/04/2005 20:35:10 Êý¾Ý¿â·þÎñÆ÷(192.168.2.4:6000)Á¬½Ó³É¹¦...
that is the last two lines of my m2 server

If anyone with a 1.9 server hosted on a router could post their ini's and txts or tell us what ip's need to be put where it would help alot. Cause i think that is my only problem atm.

when my m8 types in http://192.168.1.1 it doesnt do ne thing, it wrks 4 me but it goes 2 the BT site

dont think that will work as it looks like a lan ip, only way for some one to get into ur router setup is through VNC as i know. only other way is to connect to ur net ip and port. e.g. 150.12.156.142:7000, etc

when i want to connect to my router i use 192.168.0.1 then it comes up asking for ID and password so unless youres is different then it should work. I use a NETGEAR Wireless router
