Firstly i would just like to say i have used the search and 99% of the threads i look in tell me to use the search. Which don't Help.

My problem is:
I am Hosting a 1.4 server on a router, But i have a connection problem.
I can Host it offline no problems at all, But then no one can join. (Not the Problem)
I can Host it online no problems at all, but then I cannot Join. (The Problem)
All ports that need to be forawrded Have Been.

When Hosting Online
I can get to the login Screen. but When i come to select server 90% of the time the doors dont open. The other 10% of the time i get the Character Select Screen. Where the Screen goes black but you can still see Char screen.
I have tried it with another computer on my network and the Host Machine, Both have the same problem.

My Question
Any Idea how to Fix This Solution?

I have used the search with no help on this Topic.
Tell me to use the search and ill tell you where to stick it ;)

That will be all Thank you.

I had this problem. To fix, go to your Network Connections in Control Panel, right click the Local Area Connection you are on and go to properties. In the box in the middle highlight Internet Protocol and go to properties. Go to Advanced at the bottom and then at the shop there should be 1 I.P in a box followed by a Subnet mask, click Add and put your net I.P in the box at the top, then click OK until everything is closed. Now you should be able to connect.

This worked for me, with help from Dataforce, some button names might be different but I'm too lazy to check the names. If it doesn't work and you can't connect to the internet, just go to the same place and remove the IP you just set.

The Add Button is Blacked out, DHCP Enabled. Do i need to Disable DHCP with my Router Settings

Edit: Also Net ip, Internet IP ? Network IP ?

The Net IP, the one people are using to connect to the server. DHCP? Hmm, I could just add straight away to that box. Maybe try and Disabled DHCP and see if that works.

This may sound stupid, and i probably didn't read the thread properly, but have you tried connecting to it using 127.0.0.1?

you need a good router that supports loopback for networked pc to connect... if you installed loopback adapter.. your networked pc can't connect.
