If anyone has used 123.reg.co.uk please reply if you had this or not.

Recently a freind brought a 123-reg.co.uk dedi box, everytime i try and connect. It asks for a user and pass i type in and it says the account is disabled please contact your administrator. Ive reported this issue and ive read that by default most accounts are disabled.

If youve used 123reg.co.uk did you have to ask them to activate it?

Yeah i did last night still no responce if anyone else using this company is this a frequent thing?

we had problems with them on a domain we had registered. we had problems with their support and were redirected to america for support.

had no resolution to the problem and they kept the domain name so we couldnt even get it registered with another company despite the fact that we had paid for it.

They also operate a policy where if someone asks for a domain name already sold by them they can sell it to the interested partner if they are offering a substantially higher price... it says it in ther t&C somewhere..
I'd avoid them like the plague tbh

The genuine feel we got from the company was crap and we wouldnt ever use them again.
