Random events at random times might be quite nice too.

I always remember mobs invading towns on euro (and even lords for that matter, which caused mass brawls) which was quite fun

I did do some of these on Ace, but quickly got moaned at that "mob spawning events were biased to large guilds/high levels" (canni win :().

Sorry if I don't understand your drop files, but for me the proof is in the pudding. It's all well and good saying they could drop something, but in reality, they are dropping sweet FA. Orcs is the only place dropping anything.

In relation to iwts, killing the whole room of them on euro would result in at least 1 item, granted it could be a level 26 weap on there but the items used to drop a lot.

You need to take a look around at people's items.

We all want to help you to carry on with a successful server, though it feels like it falls on deaf ears sometimes. People have complained about it a lot. Can you not test mobs out on a closed server to see for yourself?

Not enough probably :/ Depending how long until 2.0 is out i guess... you need to try keep the players you have until 2.0 so..

The randomization of drops makes it an incredibly hard thing to judge... An example being, when I originally done some tests of the drops, the first KScorp I killed dropped a SoulSabre, one hasn't dropped since lol.

I would say this is a better progress than the 2.0 idea. You don't need 200+ new items in 1 patch. I've always hated the look of private servers with all the silly fairy kits, keep it back to its roots.

Refining and gemming are a crucial part. Remember, with upping drops, items get taken away by breaking with gems or refining.

Drops should be not only boss kills where you go straight to kill it after 10 minutes and w8 another 2hours to spawn to get another good drop.
Introduce Hermit Stats...

Double exp after 44 is good as it is. The leveling speed should be decided by better gear instead.

Sounds like a very good place to start. I do appreciate that you have been revisiting this and doing tweaks as we go, I think if you keep what you are doing with an open mind to improvement you will find the best middle ground for a good user count. Keeping in mind that you can't please everyone.

few things missing that add a lot of fun to the game refining, gemming, casino survival games, and lotttery.

How about this one, gives incentive to level, puts new items in game, provides risk and entertainment, appeals to both grinders and bossers, expands the quest system.

Expand the crafting system. this just an example

At level 15 there is a quest chaiunn which ultimatelyends up with being able to choose 1 of 3 professions.

1 - Armourer - can craft armours, boots helms nbelts.
2 - Smith - can craft weapons (they are biggest source of stats from a single item so limit this profesion to just weps)
3 - Jeweler -can craft ring, brace and necklace.

Each profession has a number of different ranks allowing player to craft different tier items. Each new rank can be achieved with a quest chain at a set level. for example, rank 1 is lvl 15 at 25 can move to rank 2 and at lvl 35 can move to rank 3.

The items will have a certain chance to fail when crafting so is a gold sink, there is risk to it liek refining and gemming, and gives the items crafted some value for sale.

The materials for these items will drop from normal monsters throughout mir. A different material or set of materials from each cave/area. For example, psc drops iron shard, zt drops leather scraps, and bug cave drops crapace. Meaning you would have to hunt psc and zt for materials to make a steel armour, or zt and bug cave to make carapace armour.

for each tier of crafting have a masterpiece item that requires rare materials that can be obtained from a boss of that level bracket, so tier one would be wt khazard etc, where as tier 2 would be ec etc etc.

this means boss players can enjoy hunt bosses even if they get **** drop they got materials they can use sell. Grinders can grind and if they dont get item drops they can sell or use the materials they found.


So alongside this extra incentive to hunt, the influx of decent new items, the new quests, the excitement of a gamble and the gold sink. you have a system that provides a benefit for all type of player and probably create a new one as im sure thered be ppl willing to sit in town crafting there asses off to make a decent profit, and also keeps ppl from being bored.

lower bosses (EC,BDD bosses,ZT... etc) just need to be adjusted into being *slightly* stronger (lets admit, every boss too easy on here atm) and also into dropping atleast 1 guaranteed bene as well as the buffs to drops you're hopefully going to do, and perhaps chance of 3 total benes per mid-high boss. People love getting bene's. It gives them a reason to just keep on hunting, more bene's, more profit - the rich buy the bene's and the poor sell them. Pretty good economy boost. This will help the "no drops" issue a fair bit as even when the boss doesn't drop f.a, you're at least getting a bene for your time.

My opinion on current "mega" bosses that people do not bother with:

FrozenBoss - Currently not a mega boss drop file, but is very very difficult. This needs to be dropping similar/better to OrcWarLord/Collosus.
Yimoogi - Exact same problem as above, but takes both LostMaps (rare/sought after atm due to vipers being only decent place to level) and effort to kill it as it RandomTeleports with its clone on an annoying map.
EvilMir - Doesn't drop good enough. 30minute run + Dscales, requires pot runs to farm it because doing stage 1-6 is just not worth the dropfile.
LostShipBoss - Far too much effort to get to, doesn't drop good enough.
OrcWarLord - Needs to have a significantly better dropfile than Collosus
OrcCollosus - Fine as it is right now.
JinchonDevil - Too many floors to get to, nobody really bothers. Doesn't drop good enough for the effort either.

Levelling needs to be made easier up to level 40. Start pushing people past 40, lower 44 (don't remove the double exp cap, just lower it a fair bit) requirements and onwards. Make level 49/50 the "hard" place to go.

Start making other caves to level. People getting bored of lvling same places (bdd/vipers/pb)

With bosses sorted now, you can focus your efforts on new content.

Like the last ace server, only few bosses are worth killing amd it's wrong to be so, still, bosses are hardly the issue with this game.

Needed, but nothing major I think more gold, loot and pots off normal mobs and slightly more chance of a rare. And bosses same thing really. Its the sub 40 item drops that need adjusting the most to get people out of shop kit.

-Removal of double exp requirement at 44+.
Yeah 44 takes around 60-90 levelling hours depending on the class, excessive to say the least and with no reward for your efforts, only the few 'hardcore' players will enjoy it this way. Many of the players will do a level every few months past 44, this isn't euro that crap isn't fun no more! Would be a great change. I also think that making the newbie guild 0-33 double exp could encourage new players instead of them giving up feeling too far behind.

There's no appeal for a solo player, which i always have been pretty much apart from a few guild hunts. Maybe some higher level junk item's would be a good idea or at least something for people to level for even if you can't get a "rare".

I dont know whats funny on some constructive suggestions samuel... all i can say i played many years the offical servers and all i can say is - this server do the opposite direction of all good aspects of the game.

Mir3 was more balances *Spells - Items - Economy.

Thats all i can say to this mir2 community...

I am even bored to answer to a thread cause Mir Chronicles i excepted to much as it is currently. Why should i invest my time to suggest something here. when i can drink a beer and go out with my kids... wich is more constructive then replying here and try to help it make it better with "MOAN Threads" like the few players thinks... who now try here to suggest something wich i predicted before... and all other Moan threads from the few before who "moaned" here...

On all mir server the community itself ripped the server at the end. all i can say *and the few 20 wondered why it end.
