2.3 ONLINE Guide?

Hey people,

i know i dont post much but if you have noticed i have been roaming this forum for about 3 days now.. I'm looking for a decent guide to make an online server, all the ones i have found are for offline use.. i have tried adapting them but as of yet i have been unsuccessful..

I'm using the SVN files.. and would like to use it on MySQL.. rather than MSSQL.. i can make the server run.. using my IP, i can connect ot it but my friend can't I dont see how when i have all the files using my IP.. i can connect but another PC cant.. surely i its using my IP for access and not 127.0.0.1 it should be an open server

the error my friend gets is Disconnected From Server even tho the server is up..

So.. can anyone help me with a decent guide to setup the SVN 2.3 Files to work as a server.. not offline...

(I can post my INI's if needed.. just shout out and i will sort it)

Loaded client version information and server table...

that error ur getting is a SQL error, ither the name of the destination isnt correct or has been changed since u set up SQL, or ur pass isnt set up right in the ini's

also there are alot of guides round here use search all are self certify rly, ither u find it easy or not, it all depends on how the other person set theres up and how easy they found it and can only explain like that, the resrt is down to u

Have u restored the mir2SQL2000 backup .mdb file? if not then do that, they it may work if not, search starttimer exception and its pretty much same as 1.9 starttimer exception.
