Are 3 steps after a hit normal on Mir 2, or just on this server?

Coming from a Mir 3 background it feels so clunky and ruins PvP, especially for Warriors. You still walk after shoulder dashing too.

Surely I'm not the only person that thinks 2 steps (like Mir 3) would make everything feel much smoother?

Three steps is to much and two is too little. What we need is 2.5 steps followed by a moonwalk.
