Would there be any possible way of making a mir 2 (1.9) server so that when you first start you could choose either low / med / high levelling / stats ?

Im not sure if it would work if all 3 choices were using the same 'world' so to speak, as the fast levelers would pk all the low levelers.

Therefore, it would have to be completely seperate. Any ideas?

No inless you did alot of coding into the source files..

Only way to do it now would be to have 3 seperate servers running and one login gate bit...

Wudent. It is possible. At begining. click a npc click high med slow etc. Teleports u to a Start town. U are then in tht starttown for good. In there is npcs etc and a telenpc which has mobs giving Low,Med,High exp.

what wld b the point? if you thinking to try and suit everyones wants and needs, thats not the way to do it.

lol at ur chats, so tru tho imo,

its an ok idea but i cant see it being a big hit if it gets made.

I did this with TUROKEvO but sadly it fell appart. The ammount of time needed to update 2 sides is completly insane.

Only way i could think of doing this is to divide the server up, have 3 duplicates of every item mob map and yeh u get my drift cos i cba to type more ;p

yea but if you think shouts only work a certian distance so there for it will be possible just need to make alot of new towns and caves other wise you will have people hunting in same places >.<

Ignore them. Theres lots of ways to go about implementing this system;

1. The start NPC.
Seperate the worlds at the beginning where a user chooses the area they wish to reside in. Depending on the chosen area also depends on the leveling areas they get, and therefore the drops they are likely to receive. Other benefits include same world chat.

2. The multi-server setup.
Using the server select screen you run seperate servers for the various levelling techniques. Not recommeneded as it takes more resources and time.

3. Refined exp system
Items are given through an NPC rather than drops. Exp is given through NPC rather than mobs. Mobs drop stones which are convertable into exp/drops. NPC decides based on their chosen high/med/low on how much they get. The problem is that sharing the same world, PK is slightly imbalanced. You might come up with an interesting way of solving that though. Benefits are the same as option one.

I wonder however Loved1, if this is really something that is worth embarking on. Your likely to get 40 players max, which spread over three distinct areas is going to make the players feel very secluded. Perhaps if your looking to add variety to your server that you look into guild sectioning or something similar.

why not just use the setup.txt time the exp by 2 but add 3 of each mob in db with diffrent exp for each
so for low lvling world.

minotaur = 1500 exp , means 750 exp in db
minotaur0 = 10000 exp , means 5000 exp in db
minotaur00 = 20000 exp , means 10000 exp in db

much easer to do :)

because then u have to have 3 lots of maps, this has already been discussed.

@leo, i think ppl were only suggesting the realistic options that could work.

your 'refined exp system' although sounds like it cld work, i think it cld get a tad annoying to have to find an npc to drop your stones off each time.

Then there would be bag space aswell maybe possible to create seperate bags inside your original bags which give you extra slots? like WoW :p

well u can dothis Make one whole area (so every1 can hunt with each other) then make area's for ppl who want fast slow med lvling and if uwant them to fight eachother make a big dungeon with around 20floors:P
