I am basically creating objects at the moment and would love what "YOU" Would love to see in a 3D Game.

At the moment I've created a Barrel, Lantern & Chest.. I really can't think what to create next! I'm currently trying to create a Anvil.

I am a Novice at this stuff and just learning the basics.. So the less detail the object the better :P

If you also could provide the texture i'd be "VERY" Grateful.

Pictures on what I've done so far:

Games i'm aiming on.. (Baulder's gate 2, Skyrim, Darksouls ect). NOT A CARTOONY GAME!.

To be fair mate I've been tempted to recreate the Mir 2 into 3D But i can't see getting many players :P

I guess i could take some of the objects placed from the game.. But i ain't 100% sure which xD

But I'll look through one of me offline Mir and search most areas.

Thanks for reply mate.

Look at the kind of games you want to replicate, get screenshots and references see what kind of assets they have, and make your own versions. Mir is a good place to start and is where we did. Though Mir dungeons actually generally lack assets compared to recent games. So though using Mir as a start is good, you may find dungeons etc. looking a bit bare without finding more assets to create and put into them.

You cant really say which is better out of UDK and Unity, it depends what you're trying to create, along with personal preference. UDK is probably more popular, but that doesn't make it a better choice.

Unity has a lot of help on the web with a large community willing to help. There's also a lot of pretty neat features coming into unity. I've never used UDK myself so cant really comment on that.

you need to look at your polygon usage, the corners of that lamp(and the chain links) look like that have way to many polygons for such a simple asset.

the chain links should either be via sprites or using a 3x3 or 3x5 sided torus. there is more to game art than creating something which looks like something, there are other factors to take into account depending on which engine you are using / the type of game your creating etc.
