anyway around this? or am i going to have to get the 32bit version of ultimate to get them working? (making my 64bits proccessor useless)

im having lots of trouble with this pc.

none of my games are working, most arnt even attempting to install.
bluetooth refuses to say its there.

what does 64bit have over the 32bit version? because if 64bit OS is causing all these problems. then id rather stick with the 32bit for now

anyone got any thoughts on the matter?

64bit Vista Ultimate can use upto 128Gb RAM and is probably the way forward where commercial computing is headed over th next few years. Unfortunately the majority of applications that were designed for a 32bit environment wont work. Some can run in compatibility mode and others have 64bit versions/drivers released to accomodate. Is it an official full version of vista 64? or OEM/pirate? If its full and official Microsoft can supply you with the 32bit version of your license for just the cost of shipping and DVD.

64 should not cause any problems over 32, i use Vista 64 every day.

64 bit can run 32 bit programmes but 32 bit can't run 64 bit.

when trying to install my drivers for this pc, most of them wernt being picked up on 64 bit (bluetooth, wireless, fpr) but all worked and installed fine on 32bit. also, when trying to install timeshift, it complained it only worked on 32bit and wldnt install, yet its a brand new game.

The problem you haver, is if your games are all pre vista then they wont work on vista - Some games do have the patch for them to work others don't and you have to buy the vista release version.
