Constant flaming on every thread.
Most of it is constructive and yes there is banter but we are mostly grown up now. Stop being so sensitive and don't take things so seriously.
Constant flaming on every thread.
Sorry to do this on the main section of the forum, but the "banter" on the forum is not to blame for the declining user count on the server, you know what needs to be done, there is enough in the bug & suggestions sections which would improve the game experience. The rebranding of Archers & introudction of Monks will improve the server, new hunting grounds will improve the server, the introudction of a new sabuk wall capture the flag (which was talked about 6 months ago) will improve the server, simple bug fixes (reported weeks ago) will improve the server. I'm not having a go, I just think it's unfair you are trying to use flames on the forum as an excuse for lack of new users/declining user count.GimmeAKitKat does have a valid point and it is what I have been saying.
As much as some of you like to banter and troll other people and players do not like it and it keeps them away from playing the game when they come to the forum and read some of the rubbish.
I have said it before some players PM me instead of posting on the forum due to the risk of flames.
Its just a case of keeping the flames to the flame threads, ie the guild section and threads like the Archer MC thread should be keep clean so that players can talk about improving the game without being flamed

I never said it was. and everything you have posted is stuff that we are working on and has been posted about.
My point was and still is that some players do not post here due to all the rubbish and flames and the fear that if they do make a thread it will get derailed (as this one has)
Everything in your list is stuff that is being worked on daily, things take time

I was questioning your point about flames on this forum being directly linked to users wanting or not wanting to play the server, we can debate this all night but if I want to play any game, I choose to play the game on the content not on what i read on a user base forum. People who have already left this server have not left because the forums are full of "flame wars", people who are interested in playing this server will not try the server because the forums are full of "flame wars".I never said it was. and everything you have posted is stuff that we are working on and has been posted about.

Think of the experience people joining game now would actually get.
Any of the bigger guilds wouldn't accept lower lvl's, so it would be Dunedain/BW's, and they don't just have to reach 40 now either. On top of that, that whole process no longer offers the opportunity to kill EC/WT or summet to keep you interested in the game until you reach higher lvl's, because they would turn up, get trashed in 1 hit by a lvl 46+ camping it for pot cash and think....why bother
Not to mention the ballache lvling can be when everybody is crammed into the same place. New player lvling Numa at lvl 30+.....dead within minutes to the lvl 50 wiz who wants all those Numa's for his lure.
As for getting people to come back, as far as I can see the server has turned to bile, half the server want nothing more than to spout abuse. Its no longer banter on here, its simple trolling and abuse. Why bother
Goes back to what I've said for years, areas do have levels in mind as to who should be hunting there.Spot on in my opinion.
The only way to get anywhere now is to know someone who will help you out, get you in a guild and kit you up.
You won't get any new comers who have never played mir who will try it and stay, they'd start off well, get to the Mines doing the quests and then that's when it starts to get difficult. Turning up to kill GhoulKing to either see high levels there already, or the King dead and you need to wait ages for it to spawn again... Only for a high level to turn up when you're struggling to kill it, jump you and finish the boss.
You can't go kill WT, a noob boss, because it's camped. Same with EC. You ask someone for group, they ignore you (And sometimes kill you). You try joining a guild and get laughed at by most.
Too many ego's, too much greed. The community in mir is appalling.
reading all the posts it appears to me that this game is going nowhere ,newbies have a short life get fed up cant level /boss hunt
to their own level because of high levels camping newbie bosses bye bye bye fresh players
mid 30 to mid 40s cant afford the spell books etc big guilds camp bosses have total control of market leaving players
to pay their prices or go bye bye more players ,end result gameover

I do plan on looking into ways to change this so the lower levels can hunt bosses that are their level
A level 40+ killing a GhoulKing is a little silly

1) Level caps on caves so players are able to kill their level tier mobs/bosses.reading all the posts it appears to me that this game is going nowhere ,newbies have a short life get fed up cant level /boss hunt

yes it is very easy to get to lvl40 if you have all day everyday to play ,you join a guild and at the same time join a massive waitingits very easy to get to lvl40 and does not take much time, from here it should not be difficult to get into an established guild.

I played for a couple of days last week (solo) and all I could do was level as all the bosses where hunted by higher levels, yes there is no real problem with this but I still think a level 40+ killed bosses in a level 20 cave is a little unfair on lower level players

ppl will make super kitted low lvl alt chars, is it worth the effort?
1) Level caps on caves so players are able to kill their level tier mobs/bosses.
2) Book crafting system is/was being implemented so players can craft skills through solo or small group play.
I have just resolved both your issues. It is all not doom and gloom.
I must say I do like the idea of a few level locked areas for the lower levels, with some not bad dropping bosses. The idea of NO PK i'm in 2 minds about. Make it NO PK and you could end up with 1 or 2 super kitted people there just camping the bosses - make it PK and those same few ppl just PK everyone else and hit the boss.
In both of these scenarios, you will notice that the downfall is the selfishness of an elitist minority which causes headaches to the team and degredates the overall quality of the server.
Now, if you could make some character bound items that would be nice. Something like some mid tier items, that bind to the character when picked up. Add a level lock to the cave, and hey presto it becomes pointless to camp for people farming kit for their alts.
You will still get the greifers, but there isn't the incentive for it; and it also makes it easier to pick up and deal with this 'greif play' when it occurs.

About non-pk, What I am thinking is:
If you are blew 30: the only attack mode you can choose is peace and you are immuned from other player's damage.
The disadvantage part would be door blocking: just some nobody character could stand some where without worrying being attacked by players.
I'm sure many players of this server would be willing and have the expertees to assist Sam & BH with the background work of the server, unfortunately I can't see Sam wanting current players being involved in this. EE bug fix would never be implemented if you were on coding team :PI do not think you have done any coding programme before. Otherwise you would understand how much time it would cost.
It seems you complain a lot about this and that, and most important: you are expecting changes will be applied immediately!!
Be practical and patient, or you can try to code yourself and give it to GM, saying: hi, I provide your suggestion and I have coded it too.
It is a winwin :P. Then your problems will be solved immediately by yourself and BH do not have to do bug testings again and again and again on his own. BH also do not have to worry about a long list to do (for example deadline for monk is close)
