a bit annoyed

i bought ten "curse immunity pots" from the game store
you click one and it give immunity to a single curse

i then click a bene and the bloody thing still curses my staff

im not very happy at all with these crap pots that dont work, and im now stuck with 9 of them that are as good as a chocolate teapot
id like my money back frankly :@@

It's not supposed to stop benes cursing? It's meant to stop PK cursing

if it had actually said that mate i would not have bought them

the wording on them said it gives immunity from one curse
that curse can come from a bene OR a PK and it didnt specify either

i feel ripped off mate tbh

Sadly as mentioned, and had you searched the forum, you'd of realised someone had asked this before and tested it themselves that this isn't how they were supposed to be used.

Just PK use only.

the (gameshop) icon was flashing and the way i read the pot description, it clearly says "immunity from one curse"
ive got £16 worth of junk now and ive lost a Luck from my stave when i shouldnt have

if the pot said "read the forum" i would have done so tbh it didnt, it said "immunity from one curse"
i feel a bit let down frankly as i cannot even sell the bloody things on....

The OP has a point tho, if it's worded to stop 1 curse and not only 1 PK curse, then it's not really their fault. Should be worded correctly.

Only the people who are willing to spend hundreds of pounds would actually hit that 7 luck... Imagine you had a luck+3 weapon and before you actually hit luck+4 the weapon has been cursed message showed 10 times, then before luck 5 it showed another 15 times. That's already 25 curse immunity potions used, are you willing to spend that much irl money on a private server? Some people would, but I sure wouldn't.

Shouldn't be in game anyway, you should curse, it's the risk you take when you PK someone. It's items like this which makes it look like a money grabbing server.

nowhere does it say PK ing only

This guy should get a refund or mount/xp pots. If it doesnt state then its false advertising. Granted your not bound by the trading standards laws as your running an illegal server but neverthe less common decency should prevail.

Pretty much the only statement I agree with on this thread is that they should never have been put ingame in the first place. Might be the only one here who thinks it but personally I don't think you should get f'all lol. You bought something which you CAN use, its not the GM's fault you choose not to PK anyone and lol @ you bought 10, last time I checked they are single buy items why would you buy 10 at once even if you thought they did work for benes (no idea why you would think this anyway) surely a normal person would buy one *use benes till you get the curse message* then buy another? Or do you have a ton of benes stockpiled and expecting every one to curse??

IMO thread needs deleting, amend the wording w/e 99% of the server don't need an extra word to tell them that this item is only for murder!

I will admit it is ambiguous, while I get some people are saying "oh well this would be broken", that's probably why they bought them. They wanted the luck + on the weapon and no risk. And for real life money you really do have to be clear. :/

You're not the only one.

I feel it contributes further (in addition to Fate weapons) to indiscriminate PKing (in towns, no less!) by certain high level people, due to a lack of consequences. This is not fun for new players.
