you could always complain to paypal, goods not as described.

Good were as described, it's gamegold (what he paid for and received).
They wont do anything with regards to what you used your in game currency to buy.

However, I know it didn't sort bene curses out, but perhaps put a tooltip for the newer Mir players or players who may not know.
Also, I already know this but put something on all gamegold items saying not tradeable e.c.t.

P.s If they dont refund just take screen shoot of the item in game shop and description and send to paypal.

Are people seriously complaining that descriptions/tooltips/text in general in Mir is not in pristine English? Really? Jesus, guys. It never was and most likely never, ever will be.

PayPal can't refund anything because the only thing he bought via PayPal is GameGold, which works as described/designed - you use it to purchase miscellaneous items.

I ordered a screen protector for the wrong type of phone, but didn't demand a refund. I asked politely, they declined (their site says no refunds), I moved on with my life.

And yes, I still wouldn't have been any more entitled to a refund if it was due to the item's description not being crystal clear. That's when you're supposed to ask questions before paying real, made via working/begging/whoring, money.

It's a simple tooltip fix to change it to "Grants immunity to PlayerKill Curse". Or Grants immunity to curse. (note: this does not work for benediction oils).

It's a VAGUE description. I completely get why the player is upset as even at a glance I thought the same. People new to mir may even think that way aswell. It needs a better description. It really is as simple as that, as this is now the second time (that's been posted) that it's happened.

I never said it doesn't need a clearer description or that the description is fine. But when you're in the situation where it is vague and that won't change in the next 5 minutes you either bite the bullet and try it for yourself or you wait a reasonable amount of time for clarification from BH (or, you know, use the forum search function or ask around). And if you do decide to bite the bullet you live with the consequences.

The OP didn't open a thread asking for clarification and, if necessary, a correction of the description. He bit the bullet, but then, instead of saying "Whelp, there goes XX GameGold. Turns out the pots are only for PKing, which isn't all that clear from the description. BH, do you think I can get a refund, since it's not clear?" all he did was throw a mild temper tantrum. He wasn't polite or cordial. He was rude. A vague description and the GM forgetting to add a work item a while ago are not a warrant to be rude!

you click one and it give immunity to a single curse

i then click a bene and the bloody thing still curses my staff

im not very happy at all with these crap pots that dont work, and im now stuck with 9 of them that are as good as a chocolate teapot

You bought something which you CAN use, its not the GM's fault you choose not to PK anyone and lol @ you bought 10, last time I checked they are single buy items why would you buy 10 at once even if you thought they did work for benes (no idea why you would think this anyway) surely a normal person would buy one *use benes till you get the curse message* then buy another? Or do you have a ton of benes stockpiled and expecting every one to curse??

Lets be fair here, the Potion should always describe what it does "Exactly". If it states it only prevents curses from PK then there shouldn't be a problem, however if someone reads "Prevents Cursing" then without doubt they would assume any ELEMENT of cursing.

Be more specific I say , it ain't hard and prevents any problems like this occurring.
