Yes, door blocking is considered a tactic on here by many - but when it comes down to it, it's a bottleneck to game play - Having been on both sides of the door it's not a lot of fun at either end for me personally


How easy would it be to put a "buff" on a player as they walk through a door? Such as;


  • able to run through objects. ie. players/mobs
  • immune to damage
  • unable to attack

The buff only needs to last 1-2 secs max


Opinions ?

Maybe my initial post wasn't that clear, but I meant the 3x player stacking not necessarily the 1 person door block


Good idea but I could see that been exploited though - lur a boss to door - walk in walk out to kill

Tbh this is a good idea...I wonder tho if it could work..lets say they block the door and leave 1 spot (other than the safezone) open and put clone/pet or a player in that 1 spot safezone in order to push the ones tht come in the non-sz spot..
But I like ur idea better.

But I like ur idea better.

I don't think that works on this server, used to do that on Euro took a while tho ^^ .. Like i said above tho, yeah it's a good idea but people could abuse the safezone by luring mobs/bosses to the spot and walking in walking out to kill .. Plus you would have people AFKing in these spots

aye safezones wouldn't work.
perhaps an easier fix would be to have every door (landing space) cast level 500 repulse (no wall restrictions so can push 3/4/5/6 people all in a row) every 5 minutes.
This gives the door blockers 5 minutes to block/hold up/slow down the people --*tactics*
but doesn't bottle neck the fluidity of the game with nonsense borderline grief tactics.

i agree the walling crap was boring...

every time TKO walled we were like **** it lets go out and fight but in some cases we were heavily out numbered.

but if we wanted to get a boss as the smaller guild we needed a tactic but without this how will the smaller guilds get up on top?

there needs to be some kind of a tactic for smaller guilds and if walling up is working then so be it.

but i agree 110% its boring but some times its needed.

call the guilds pussy's or w,e but at least they got the boss?

I'm pretty sure the developers of the game didn't build the game around door blocking, use abit of common sense mate

I don't think the sz idea would work either, but again as I've been on both sides of a wall maybe a 1 second run through anything could work?

A 1-2 sec run through upon entering the door seems fair, normal flinch mechanics would still apply obviously. As for the immunity thing, you already get 1-2 secs of immunity upon entering doors anyway

In theory it's pretty much like what laggy people could do on euro, they'd run into a blocked door and just run through anyone blocking anyway.

just make wider doors, or make ppl auto RT within 20 ft of the doors when you step through...

People been talkin about door blocking for months on and off and tele in spots making you vulnerable.
Can't see it bein a good tactic to help smaller guilds. You have to have enough to hold the wall and people to go to the boss.
So it only works for big guilds with enough people online who want to avoid fighting despite outnumbering the enemy - unlike TKO who enjoy a good fight and cba with standing still to win.

could make that entry point in ALL caves rt able? give 1 chance to escape door block and return or proceed to next door

Thats best idea so far I reckon. but id imagine it would take a while for sam to change every bloody boss room. :/

Door blocking has been an issue since the server begun. Forsaken are just reminding us how embarrassing it is.

Sabuk wall has been completely redesigned (in Nov - not implemented yet???) due to door blocking from then Orgasmics, which funnilly enough are now mainly Forsaken.

crying again because we wiped u out in hell and ship get over urselfs ffs u lot cant say fk all u do it aswell and theses ideas r bullshit dont like the way some guilds fight dont fight them then simple
