Why don't we just make the whole server a safe zone?

Wars are already expensive at 100k, a cooldown on wars is ridiculous, this is just to encourage the purchase of curse immunity lotions. If Sam was serious he would remove these from the gameshop.

Worthing is depressing.
The whole purpose of wars is as people stated to stop players being red for days on end. However its obvious that this has been exploited and people are using Guild wars to render the PK system invalid, therefore the Guild war system obviously isn't working.

The cool down imo is a brilliant idea and long overdue and once a day is good if im correct a war last 3 hours? This would allow a period of 6 hours to be 'war' time and '18 hours rest... if the enemy guild war you back later.

You shouldn't be allowed to run around this server stealing bosses and PK'ing because they're orange. If you really want that boss you need to pay a bigger price than 100k. If you don't want to risk it, then go home.

Do you honestly think a cooldown is going to stop a guild taking a boss? 95% of Team have between luck 1-3 which is easily replacebale, anyone with luck 7 will purchase a curse immunity lotion. Like i said, if Sam was serious he would remove curse pots and the other pot which decreases your PK points.

Then i cant understand why everybody is so anti cool down. If the majority of team have low luck than yes PK'ing in best weps won't be a bad idea. A for luck 7's well use it & loose it, there is a price to being so lucky!

How would removing curse pots & point removal pots help the constant guild wars It would encourage them? You've seem to have gone off on a different point there. They would need to be monitored though as people who spend their money will obviously be white all the time with fully lucked weapons still.

When it comes to actually going brown when people are more reluctant as you become a big fat target to everybody who isn't brown. By your statement i guess Team will PK regardless of wars.. which is fair, but they must suffer a punishment for that, as it stands Team are freely running around at war and killing without the need for curse immunity or PK points(as is everybody else). How is this fair? By allowing guilds to war constantly it has ruined the PK system and made curse / pk points redundant.

Bring back the risks or just remove cursing and pk points.

Aslong as players can drop off body, fighting will always take place, cooldown on wars will not change anything, increasing the price of wars will not change anything. The risk v reward is massively in favour of reward. I was just suggesting something to increase the risk. You are correct, the PK system is redundant.

I think going brown from attacking another player is extremely racist. Why are the legend of mir making brown players a target for any white players.
This sort of thing is completely unacceptable and should be rectified.
Then you have guild wars where everyone is out to kill the gingers.
I support removing guild wars to protect the dying breed of gingers.

on a more serious note, guild wars are a silly aspect of the game, if you want to fight you should fight under normal circumstances why putting any form of protection in place is beyond me, it allows for dominance without risk.
There should never be a reward without risk.

Bin them all together.

as for TitusPullsomeAttention - shh, this thread makes you an even bigger target for being a cry baby, people don't like you deal with it. people don't like me. I smile at them and sleep with their daughters. get on with it.

actually.
allow constant guild wars for provinces and the first 3 floors of all caves to stop peoples noobs from causing curses, allow guild wars in town also.

I think its pretty self explanatory. 100k is not expensive, and can be made in about 10 mins in a low level cave I wont mention.

It's all pretty irrelevant anyway, like i've already stated, they could remove guild wars entirely and they same outcome would happen, luck 1/3 is easily replaceable, luck 7/PK points are not in danger from whats available in the gameshop. People need to accept PKing will happen aslong as body dropping is in-game.

And I do accept that, and don't mind it. I don't mind taking the risk out of it, but for a cost. 100k is not a cost IMO. At most its a minor inconvenience - the biggest part of which is having to xfer guild leadership to sum1 to start the war in BW.

Scenario : you run to a boss, and a fight happens, you wipe out say 10 of the enemy, and you "pay the price" of PKing. This said guild then runs back another 3-4 times for the boss, not to kill it, because they know they are seriously under powered. But just for the efforts of making you red for XX amount of hours.

Do you think the above is fair? Let's remember that both ways can be exploited. Theres also a lot of people who leave guild in fights, who exploit that system, in order to try and make people curse, Orgasmics were number 1 for this tactic.

Its a good tactic you get your big hitters with high luck not hitting then ;) team is carried by a handful of chosen ones ... rest are shite ^^

Scenario: If you let them come back 3-4 times and floor them all 10 times you're probably PK'ing a bunch of noobs for a Bone Elite or you're struggling to kill the boss.. which i highly doubt. You could also not attack them the 2nd time round to make them go brown? This is all a very lop sided unlikely scenario, considering half of them would probably TT.

No denying both ways could be exploited, making people red has been around since beginning of mir, people have adapted though. OKS was a prime example of this where people left noobs there to log into peoples FW... it is a risk though.

To sum it up you obviously want to take all the honey from the pot and don't want the tummy ache that goes with it. The current guild war system is extremely lop sided and it does need to be balanced out. The PvP in mir is what we love, but not everybody wants to be on edge all the time because of being on a 24/7 war.

I really don't see the point about the cost of a war. If wars are too expensive, people won't use them, what's the worst thats going to happen?

a) You're going to go red (leave yourself AFK overnight to go white/play another char while you wait/use a PK point reducer)
b) You're going to curse (benediction oils are readily available/use a curse pot)

even then I'd say around 50% of players TT before they get close to dieing in a fight to avoid the chance of body dropping.

Scenario location : OKS room in BDD. Opposition luring **** loads of mobs onto you, they don't go brown. You want to clear them out before you can start to kill the boss. Considering the massive HP pool OKS has, you want to be killing it without the mobs hitting you and players.

My honey pot pays for guild wars to numerous guilds, throughout the day. Considering one guild is 100K, when you multiply it by 6-7 guilds (a lot of the big guilds splitting up now into their little greed groups), and wars throughout the day, comes to a lot of cash. 100k is nothing, but when you add lots of them, it soon adds up.

The "tummy ache" as you call it, is people can still leave guild, and attacking works 2 ways. People DO war us too, especially when they have luck7 too :)

When Team run back for a boss, they go in their best kits to kill the boss. They don't store all their rare items just to grief, as TKO did :)

Maybe it’s because I started the server late but I onlyexperienced what you’re talking about twice. Both times TKO doorblocked frozen2[SUP]nd[/SUP] to temple 1[SUP]st[/SUP]. Depress, adaephon, orca, aso andbadboy stayed fully kitted whilst 5/6 team members left guild, banked all gearand came back over and over for 30 minutes until you all came through at once.Every TKO member was red for atleast 3 hours on both occasions. I don’t denyTKO did their fair share of griefing, but tarring one guild with the brush isacting a little too innocent.

I said only that Orgasmics were the number 1 culprit. Every guild has done it, and if I was on, I would certainly tell my guild not to lower themselves to that.
