I say keep them as they are still history in part of the server. Sad that players banned months ago are still towering over many people in levels on server

It really doesnt matter. I would rather team worked on much more important stuff.
You can see who is ahead of you. You can see if their % moves. This is how you know if they are still active. Once everyone gets past them the deleted and banned will be at the bottom of the list.
What exactly will you gain from this? Knowing that theres only 5 people ahead of you not 8?
If any of the 8 are gone you will pass them soon and their % wont change.
You want the team to spend time on this?
Like mystic says they are part of the history. Wont it feel better knowing u got past them? Also will remind you that cheats get caught in the end which is good.
