Adding Spells

I've tried adding spells to the Magic DB ... but once in game they don't work. Is there a specific hex or different M2server I need to have the possibility of adding spells?

PS. Sorry if its already been posted, i've searched a lot already.

Thanks for your help.

You cant add spells unless you're trying to add WarRev (for example)..
dont hex it, just copy the spell in the db paste it at the end, then just change things like level class exp etc... thats it, leave the index how it originally is

Well i've tried adding things such as TaoFirewall etc, but when I do that (paste at the end with the appropriate inputs) They work ingame....So say the person clicks on the book then learns it .. but as soon as they re-log it returns to FireWall (as opposed to TaoFireWall)
But say I wanted to make a stronger fireball, that wouldn't work because you can't add new spells? (Ty for the reply)

Yah because, the index stores the information of the spell name, you have to leave it like that, unless you are good at coding the game =p

I noticed this,and i was wondering tonite ..........................ok i cant add spells but,,,,,wot if i changed a spell........for eg. if i have all reved exe mabe i could add spell where revelation spell was, Perhaps i could add or replace it with thunderblot but give it different graphics but make more powerfull.... Ok try make it more simplier.......if u take for eg. hellfire spell...if had that 2 times in m2 server.....then i could make the spell work in 2 different ways in dbc appply different graphics tooooo each spell so therefore seperation LOOKS like new spell ?

Spells are near impossible to customise past there name, lvl and exp tbh

u can edit there strength but its very tempermental (Making a spell a bit too strong causes it to 1 hit everything)

i suggest dling the new 1.9 files as i beleive they have lal the new spells u wud want rite now :P

Would it not be possible to add somin like a FullMoon? Say, using the attack like thunderstorm (so it would attack 360 degrees) but using the effects of say the normall HalfMoon, so he'd look like he was attacking as a warrior does but doing full circle damage...

dunno if it works like that, but thought id ask

some find it hard some find it easy okie.
but i agree with the d loading of 1.9 :whips:

[glow2=magenta]only problem with that is for ther 1.5+ server files they aint complete so it kinda makes more hassel, best bet is to d/load the Dsy server files as they have new spells too![/glow2]
