adobe after effects

we got any after effect wizz kids among us?

just wondering if there was any other way to make flourish like effect other than using flash.

I'm trying to create a simple line that curves how i want it too, then it starts disappearing from one end to the other, anyone know of any tut of how to achieve this? or is flash my only option ?

pen tool isn't animated. how does it know which end of the line to start animation at, and what directions to fade it at ?

if you add a gradient it only does it from dark to light colour in one direction, if the line goes back on it self, it will just fade the same time as the start.

i think you are mixing photoshop up with after effects.

i dont want a static vector flourish, they are easy to do..

either way, i dont think i will need it now anyway, decided on real time lighting effects
