That review is using the OLD 65nm Core 192 GTX 260, the newer model which was released around 2 months ago, which is 55nm and Core 216, it is faster than the 4870.
I really cant argue with that, i never knew they re-released that card.. and yes it does now outperfom the 4870.. deffo for the time being i would suggest getting that card..
It kinda puts the GTX 280 in a pointless zone from what i read.. the new 260 216 comes soo close in near enough everything it doesnt warrent the extra money for the 280.
Ye but for the increase in price is it really worth it.. its £320+ for a 285 or £250 for a 280.. i personally would stick with the new 260 due to the price diff in the 280/285. Personally im quite excited to see what ATI hit back with.. Nvidia seemed to have worked very hard just to beat 1 card from ATI (4870/4870x2)..

They are such closer in price if you look at other places besides Scan, and they should be cheaper soon. anyway, it was just a fyi as i wasn't sure you knew about the GTX 285 aswell.
