Advice please lads 'n ladies

Been a while since playing mir, now I have a very good gaming rig and mir seems to want to lag randomly. Opening a bag, talking to an npc, random GFX spikes etc. Is this a common problem nowadays, is there a fix?

ur using windows 7 right? ive had this poblem before belive its a graphics issue possibly direct x not sure tho

single or dual screen?

Disable second screen if you have two (Or all but 1 if you have more).

If that don't help post back and I'll try advise you an alternative, I had this problem.

You've more than likely got either DX10 or DX11 installed, which does cause problems with games. Try down grading your DX to DX9c and then go from their with it.

I will try single screen for a day or 2 as i play, see how it goes. If not ill post back concerning directx, much appreciated lads.

Actually with certain types of g/cards yes it does and it can also cause issue's with games.

Fact that he said he will try using single screen means he had multi display, which is the issue here, so long as he Doesn't Alt Tab, and single screen He shouldn't suffer from any FPS Issues.

Dual screen shouldn't really matter, as by default windows will revert the screen to single display when playing games.

not true i used to play wow with wowhead or similar open on the second screen

Well the single screen has helped loads... cant make a 100% judgement though until bt start giving me 500Kb/s+ instead of 56Kb/s..... god damn provider switching. When my net gets steady, i will know for sure, and try directx if this doesn't resolve the problem completely.

Well, I changed all my GFX card settings, set it to just 1 display and it seems the best I'm going to get lag wise. Thanks for all your input
