AFK leveling

What's the deal with AFK leveling outside of caves? I thought it was bannable?

There are a few Forsaken taoists that I have seen doing this outside mineral mines.

Best thing to do imo, is to remove the mobs from outside the cave if nothing is going to get done about it.

I did see this last night and was planning to talk to the team about it today.

It seemed a bit odd to me, I thought they where just leveling pets as the exp gained from zombies would not be worth it.

I guess it maybe time to have some temp bans but have to talk to the team first.

It's hardly unfair, they gain minimal exp, they are just taking advantage of their pets.
PK them if it bothers you.

Temp bans for afk leveling is ludacris its a part of the game and its always been that way even on euro its not exploiting you run the risk of been dead in the morning.

Im not saying its a great thing to do nor am I able to do it myself being a warrior but.....so what?... its not like this taoist in the screeny is somehow at an advantage??? The risk of Afk lvling is huge lol... We have bots farming the hell out of noob mobs gaining loads of gold and your worried about a couple of players who choose to stand still and kill outside caves with

A) less mobs than anyone actually lvling...

B) Gaining nothing in return apart from minimal exp...

and
C) Larger risk of being Pked... :/

Temp bans....??...priorities...... Please? If these numptys wanna stand there all day... whats the big deal lol?

Doesn't exactly look like they've had mass lures on them plus it's a high risk going AFK and trying to level anyway due to PKing, doesn't need any temp bans even I can agree to that IMHO.

I never said they would be temp banned was just throwing the idea around in my head.

As I said and others have too, they really are gaining nothing by doing it, and the high risk of PK. I thought they where leaving pets when I seen it last night.

I think this issue should be the last on your list ^^ nephrite shoes h need sorting haha this has gone on for some months now

I'm not sure why you are changing the boots, they are as official mir like was once said.
people have upgraded the normal ones knowing that the (H) ones were never going to get agil...
will they be keeping the stats they gemmed?

on the afk leveling aspect, whats the problem?
I really cant understand anyone's gripe with this..
People afk level spells.. that's gaining spell experience and improving your character. you can do this in a safe zone with no threat from pk should that also be stopped?

if people want to leave their character in a PK zone that's up to them.
Not botting, not breaking any rules.
Move on and shut up.

joking - you could potentially find a 1 spot and lodge shift down witht he mouse clicked to auto swing sword forward, used to do this in BC back on euro on 1 floor when the spawns were huge outside that door.

I will also say that this is not an issue that needs addressing as its not exploiting and not risk free

I've noticed a Tao sat outside mineral mines levelling, I thought he was just levelling pets but his dura was cained and he was there hours. I don't see an issue with it and there are far more serious issues that require time spending on them than this.

I like the idea of mobs outside of caves, it's a nice touch and gives u an idea of what you potentially face inside the cave.

They are not exactly levelling quickly or efficiently and like others have pointed out it isn't risk free.

The botters running around mines are far more of an issue...

Heck you don't even have to PK them. Just ShoulderDash/Repulse them far far away from the mobs. They're afk so they'll just stand in the middle of nowhere for ages

dont get rid of the mobs, its the only idea people have that the cave will be different than in euro and its an awesome feature i liked. gives you a clue if you can survive in the cave. make one of the mobs that spawn a sub boss that can won tao pets or something but give it no drops simplez.
