ahh help

[Dragonrage]

i loaded up my pc after my m8 had last used it and i had a total black screen saying, ur pc mayb infected blah blah blah click here to download the anti clean thing. only problem was to get rid of wudda cost me $60 dollars so ive deleted sumit which managed to remove that, but in the process its royally nacked my Active Desktop and im pritty sure this spyware advert thing is still on
everytime i check my properties of my screen it just says this

file://C:\WINDOWS\desktop.html

which ive tried deleting but not sure what else to do any ideas?

You should be able to turn off active desktop from the display control panel.

Try looking around in there, there should be a tickbox.

You might have to click a few buttons within the control panel to see it though (depending on your flavour of windows).

yeh i managed to sort but i still cant get rid of the popup banner style thing. it takes up the whole of my Desktop but lets me still be able to see icon's just no background of my choice
