Lack of depth, went back to WoW.... rofl.
If you took notice of Aion would of know that Aion completly out rates WoW, **** me any game out these days out rates WoW, you just not noticing it because you played WoW for far too long.
Trust me, if you knew how much effort was involved in getting on, paying for and translating Aion chinese then you'd know I took massive notice, I even set up a forum dedicated to it
I was the same as you until I'd been playing for about a month; I defended it to the earth - especially against WoW. When you've been playing that long make another post, please
Aion is, in effect, a glammed up Lineage 2 with wings and fixed questing system for the western market. Break it down and it's still the same grind without reward, lifeless raids, imbalanced class dynamics and narrow progression. The flexibility and sheer depth in theorycraft that warcraft has, along with the massive amounts of addons makes it currently unrivalled in the market. And it'll stay like that for some time. The thing about WoW is that it appeals after the grind is gone, it doesn't stop giving to the player. That's partly due to the way they've worked instances/raids and pvp, and partly due to character flexibility.
In Aion, for example, you pick to be a healer and that's your job indefinitely unless you reroll. In WoW you pick to be a healer and if you fancy a change you go dps or tank potentially on the same character, allowing for a vast array of class dynamics which allows for great team work and raid effort. If Aion were to adopt WoW's raiding systems it would fail at the first hurdle, getting the right groups of people and having them keep playing.
Aion is very pretty, but lacks theory and depth behind the scenes. WoW is very visually unattractive, but has unparallel game play and appeal. Play Aion, but you won't play for long.
