Albion Online is a cross platform MMO, every mobile and pc player are in one huge server.
It is by no mean a pay to win game, 90% of the players are running around with gear that you can grind in couple of hours if that. No gear is unique and as mentioned all is craftable so the logic is to go out on a gear that you can afford 20-30x so when you die an drop to a player, it is not a loss.
If you get knocked down by a mob you can get back up in few seconds, you only get truly killed if a player kills you/executes you.
I personally played Albion online for a good couple of years and the main reason I take breaks is that the game is hard/can get boring for solo players.
If you can get a core 10-30 players that are on around the same time you are then it is an absolute blast.
The game is only grindy if you choose to level every class/weap but if you specialise in only a couple you are PvP ready in couple of weeks.
Anyone has questions just hit me up - and if there is enough interest from the community, it would be nice to get a guild and play together. The game is crazy active and is for both PvP and PvE lovers... don't let the full loot aspect of it put you off - it is a non factor once you get into it.
This is a random clip I saw yesterday that shows how fun the game can be (its skill > gear/p2w)
There is also a bunch of albion videos on my channel that you can watch but since I havent managed to get a good squad its mainly solo PvP clips
