1) Actually it doesn't really, unless you're crap
2) If you're good you don't really need to erase.
3) Yea you can, expecially with a biro. Even a fountain pen is ok.
4) Probably lol

Rar?

1) Which applies to most of the people on this forum :P, esp Dark12345 and Jamis etc.
2) Just because your good doesnt mean you cant make a mistake, like your hand gets knocked, or you drop your pen onto the drawing, and is it worth the risk? :P
3) You can colour in, but tonal (sp?) shading and stuff like that can only really be done properly using different types of pencil (HB, B and whatever the other ones are) and then using the flat side of the pencil lead, there are many techniques to drawing with several different pencils to get the desired effect, there is but only one pen that is limited in so many ways.
4) Yup

This what i recomend when first starting off:

1. Sketch basic outline in pencil, dont worry about mistakes, make it rough as you want, but get the basic shape.
2. Use 3 different grades of markers, thick for main outline, medium for mid tone detailing and thin for intricate details. Go over the drawing with the markers.
3. You can rub out the pencil, or go straight to next step
4. Scan, and import into photoshop.
5. Play around with contrast to bring out the marker lines and play with the various efects to remove pencil sketch (if you didnt rub out)
6. Apply colour and use burn/dodge tool to get some nice dark/light and shine effects.

Thats crap loads more you can do just do a google for tutorials. Do the same If you wanna learn how to draw particular things.

One more tip: say you have trouble with drawing arms, find an image/drawing you like and immitate the same style. Keep drawing arms and you will soon master that. Then move onto another anotomy. etc. etc.
