I agree, I must have read the thread wrong - I was offering in the mix (called a Discussion by the way) alternative types of computers - oh and
PC = Personal Computer so yes an Apple is also referred to as a PC. Never mind though, any post i made back then was always referred to the argument on that AMD thread..

As for the last post there - by Inzane, I will not comment on what you said but rather the fact Urban allowed the original Thread to carry on when he should have closed it the second it got out of hand.. I also agree that I was out of Order in flaming Urban the way I did, but what has come to pass - has passed. I asked for my account to be deleted and they will not do it - so i have went another route which just about achieves the same effect anyhow..

Look matey, things never have to get out of hand... im hot headed myself and fly off on one randomly, ive been working with computers since 1991, and i class myself as an IT expert, having been Network Manager for several companies & IT Support for others including Middlesbrough Council and oversaw the installation on 1000s of PCs for them including a Bespoke Database program that cost over a £1M!!

Sometimes you gotta accept your limitations, wether it be knowledge or practical skills.... i went up against a guy once, £ for £ i could own him for fixing/technical knowledge, but for actuall raw knowledge about certain hardware, best compatability etc. i just couldnt touch him!! He spent every hour outside work researching/reading up and stuff......

I admit, and although im not directly refering to urban here as a child, but he is only 18.... but i think the new generation has much more knowledge than we do mate! They were brought up on PC hardware, were as our generation fell into it when it had just started to become a large part of everyday life!!!

To put it into perspective, when urban was born the 286 was around and the 386 was in development, when we were born 1M ram cost around £1M and most PCs werent PCs they were government property that made basic calculations and thats it.... times change, and so should people!!! I stress that the generation of PC users these days have a much easier life using them than they did when i started, but ive found they are so clued up!!!

My 8 year old son knows 10 times what i did about computers than i did at his age man!!!

Just chill... if you need to eat humble pie, f00king eat it, theres nothing wrong with admiting sombody knows more than you if thats the case!!! at the end of the day its not gonna effect your life is it??? Name calling isnt the answer, although i get riled somtimes, just bite your toungue and get on with it!!! Thats all i have to say!

I came here looking for some info, instead all I found was a moderator abusing his position by being condesending to a majority of forum users.
Everyone has a right to their point of view and being a moderator does not give you the right to talk down to everyone that you may not agree with.

I usually point alot of people in the direction of these forums. I have done so for as long as I have been a member and even before I signed up I reffered people here. All I see now is more than several post where you seem to enjoy 'hijacking' threads, stomping on peoples opinions and making them look small. (here's an example http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=29503 of you taking over a goodbye post and bringing up a topic that is supposed to be in this section.) I thought you'd 'grow out' of it, thinking that 'mod power' had gone to your head. However it seems its in your nature.I shall no longer be referring people here. As I definetly wouldnt want them to recieve the 'welcome' you give.

Point of view?

AMD is unstable.

That's not a point of view, that's wrongly defacing a company. Unlike Demonic I brought facts to back up my side.

Also, hijacking a thread?

Do you have access to mod PM's or private boards?
I think not, which means you don't know the whole story, which mean's your commenting on only the small amount you know.

A quick recap:

The problem isn't about the discussion, it's about a staff memeber who flamed another staff member and continued to even after he was asked not to, and would not apologize. Sorry, you can whine and complain all you want, but the fate of Demonic was in his own hands, it was his decision to leave and make drama.

I won't allow posts to be wasted in the comp section over Demonic, keep the discussion ontopic.

EDIT

BTW

I shall no longer be referring people here. As I definetly wouldnt want them to recieve the 'welcome' you give.

boo-hoo remind me to cry.

Excuse me, but my previous post had nothing to do with Demonic other than the one thread I used as an example. I could quite easily have used any number of threads. I was actually quoting your comments to Bobtail at the time.He looks to be very new to the forums and made a comment about something he had been reading. After reading various threads I can hazard a guess that alot of visitors on the forums will be immediately drawn to the same conclusion.

Perhaps you are not seeing the picture here. Possibly due to what looks to be your 'better than thou' attitude. All it takes is manners and consideration. Just a little thought before posting a reply. Its not hard really. You should maybe learn to not take offence everytime someone posts something that you don't agree with or you think is a personal attack upon yourself.

Would you like me to make a whole new thread somewhere on this and include ettiquette, compassion, sympathy etc ? I didn't think that would be the right thing to do, so I thought i'd make my comments (which its seems I nor anyone else is allowed to have) here, where you have already gone off topic every time you started to put people down. As a mod you could actually move my posts to a more relevant place if that is what you wish.

This is by the way not a flame. Its a comment about observations that I and others have read. But I do think you need to 'get over' this Demonic person especially as he seems to no longer be here.

I'm more than happy to discuss this further with you on MSN, rather than have to resort to 'spamming' a thread. As you're a mod you can find out my MSN at any time.

In the meantime 'Happy Modding'

This is a computer forum so excuse me when I rebuke someone for calling a 'computer discussion' childish because people are promoting specific brands, because that's what I like to do: Tell people what's the best so they can buy it.

Your oppinion sounds like a personal problem, if you have a problem then make a thread about it comments and suggestions.

Something I don't agree with? Seriously, did you not read the thread?

Whether I or anyone else agree's or disagree's no one can disagree the presented FACTS in a right mind.

Like I said if you have a problem post it in the right section, because your the one wastign my time in the computer section by your going offtopic.

Get over Demonic? I never mentioned him till other people started bringing him up. Also, what 'others'? I don't see anyone else stepping foward. I don't have time to waste on MSN, once again, if you have a problem post in the right section.

This ends now, keep the discussion ontopic or be temp banned (that applies to everyone).
