The Age is a fantasy MMORPG that we developed in-house. The Age, the second game in our trilogy the Genesis of the Century, builds upon the story of The World of Legend.
The operation system for The Age utilizes an innovative server integration system that transcends the limit on the number of users that can interact in a single game environment, which existed under the traditional game area server networks. The new system permits up to 100,000 users to simultaneously enter a single online environment. The game itself was designed to harness this new technology and bring the online game world one step closer to reality. In The Age, users live in a country that struggles with other countries to build its cities, to win its wars and to develop its civilization. In this real world geopolitical environment, the success of the individual is closely bound to that of their country.

:: February 21, 2004 Begin closed beta testing
:: June 28,2004 Shanda commercially launched The Age

Background
According to an ancient oath, the gods split the world in three, divided by impassable seas; each of the three worlds was ruled by different gods and supported by, respectively, "magic", "civilization" and "dreams". Each world developed in its own time and space, isolated from the others.
Only legendary warriors chosen by gods are permitted to cross the seas and journey among the three worlds...
What kind of oath could last ten thousand years?
Who will become the legendary hero that crosses the three worlds?
What kind of changes will occur in the three worlds?
All thrilling secrets would be unveiled on the day when the thousand-year oath was due¡*
Knowledge of the past quickly spread throughout the land. Mankind created fortunes through hunting, planting and mining, and established countries that are civilized and orderly¡* everything derived from the gods was respected and cherished as "Tao".
Three thousand years later, men were using "Tao" in ways far beyond the doctrine of the gods. Quarrels followed. The three saints, "Overlord", "Sword Master" and "Sage" debated and fought bitterly on the top of Kulun Mountain. Months later, the three made an oath and carved it onto a monument, promising a duel for their offspring to take place in one thousand years...

Ooo, it has bows and arrows and stuff too :O Shields, mmm, looks very nice. As MentaL said, it does look like a patch for WoooL, but that's just because of the same company probably.

Looks very sexy, someone should hunt for files, unless maybe they can run off the 1.9 emu?

Shanda helped create Mir and WoooL.

So another attempt by Shanda to outsell GNO.

I doubt Shanda even know GNO exist, its WeMade they are competing with after they cut their contract short for mir.
