I play mir on laptop and every time I use an f key I have hold shift all the time because if I don't it works like contrast and help button etc and it's annoying holding shift all time to cast a spell so if any one can help me disable that while game is running I'll love you long time

i think chronicles lets you rebind keys, so just change the mir keys to something else.

The fix depends on your laptop make and model.

Your looking for "Function Keys Mode" change the option to "Standard F1-F12 Mode"

It should be in your keyboard settings under tools and utilities

It's not shift you're holding. It's a "Fn" key.

I don't know why, but a lot of manufacturers now have the "Multi function" as the main press, leaving the "Function" buttons as a secondary function as oppose to Primary lol.

Example:

On this particular Keyboard, to use the "Fn" functions, you need to hold the Fn Key (They're outlined in blue). Yours must be reversed....you have to hold it for F1-12.

You can change this in the control panel under Keyboard settings I believe, I can't remember exactly where
