thankyou very much .. lol i gotta another problem now.. i cant get the sql to work .. error 42000 is what it comin up with.. any ideas?

have you setup ODBC?

not yet but the guide has got that bit next .. should i skip this bit and do the odbc bit first then ?

I took my guide offline (web based one) as I am in the Process of Re-writing it - but tbh you dont need a pictrue guide to install MS-SQL - just a few Pointers as to what to tick. if your MS-SQL wont instal, the ODBC part will never work - so until that si the case, you cannot progress any further.

Slifer has sorted this problem now (I setup the server for him via realvnc)
