Sam, BH, what do you think?

Literally every other Tao support spell except Puri is either AoE by default (AC, AMC, Curse) or has an AoE version (PC, MH).

Good idea IMO takes the tedious nature of recasting single target every couple of mins

It's awful at 33.. I was in PB with an Archer and War, it just barely lasted 2 pulls. Increase its cost to 100MP, it'd still be miles better.

Please! I spend my time on guild hunts as a human egg timer just spamming it on 5 or so people

At lvl 3 when grouped with group mode enabled it acts like a chain so when you cast on yourself it moves around the group, each subsequent cast uses 5-10 less mp or something along those lines.

Just.... NO jesus keep mir how its always been don't make it easier its bad enough we have sins and archer we cant have classic 3 heroes anymore now you want silly things like this.. just keep it simple and traditional imo.

Correct me if I'm wrong but also on euro didn't this only work for DC on warriors? And Taoists if they wanted DC. It means on a hunt we have to cast it 3-4x more often than we did originally.

Indeed agreed with harry. We have enough spells to cast without having to slam this 5-6 times every 30-1min 30 secs - Just makes it that little less constant buffing....

There was no UE in Euro at least until PSC was added. It's always been in Mir 3 though (and guessing that's where they borrowed it from), where it was always AoE.

I don't get what the big deal is. The "simple and traditional" Tao buff skills are all AoE or have an AoE version. It's a quality of life improvement that in no way imbalances the game, for a class that is mostly just seen as a buff/debuff bot in hunts anyways. It's bad enough it lasts as little as it does compared to SS/BA, it's single target as well.

Go play a traditional server?

This is a good idea. I also think and have suggested sooo many time across different servers.BA and SS should combine into one skill when both are level 3.
Taos should be able to craft red+green combined poison bags saving them a poison cast per mob.

I also think curse should be a single target cast not mass but that one usually stirrs up an almighty row.

or maybe not having the fixed 2minute buff duration , and have it the same as amc ac buff , where the more sc you have the longer the buff lasts?

Euro UE used to go up in seconds based on the taoists SC, worked in the same way as AC/AMC buffs do atm. Could easily get 3-4 minute buffs, this would solve the problem. As someone said previous 2 minutes is too short a time in a small group, trying to buff players hidden behind mobs, and/or running off, by the time you've UE'd 5 people, your first one's run out and you can't heal/buff etc. This wasn't a probelm on AceM2 as cast speed was higher but I agree it's tedious on here.

I even agree with Curse being made single target maybe, as it's miles more powerful than any of our other buffs/debuffs. But UE being single target with 1-2 min duration is just awful during group hunts.. it's impossible for a Tao in a sizeable group to AC, AMC, red poison all the mobs, heal whoever needs healing, hide someone if it's needed AND constantly refresh UE on running/hidden targets, as Kalamonde said.

This is a small, easy (from Sam and BH's perspective) change that would make being a Tao more fun.

I think an opposing argument could be. It shouldnt be 1 tao in a sizeable group. 2-3 taos can allocate jobs between them.
In a perfect world maybe. but in reality it usually is 1 tao for 5 war/sin
On that basis its impossible to be a "good" tao as you will end up with down time on certain buffs. Especially if you stop to type!

Im not a tao on this server, well i am whilst mining but otherwise not lol. But i agree its hard work and could be simplified without breaking anything.

Not when you need to be healing constantly, like at MK or OK (to be fair I was solo at OK). There really aren't many breaks between heals to do other stuff, let alone cast 4-5 buffs instead of just 1 mid-fight.

I have a few ideas for the possible improvement of Ultima Enhancer:

1) When it is cast on a player, it buffs every group member of the same class. A bit like the Greater Blessings in World of Warcraft. In other words, cast it on an Archer and all Archers in the group will receive the buff.
This change would make the most difference when you have a full group of 11 players.
Coding this might be a pain as I don't know of any spell mechanics in Mir which work this way.

2) Add the static shot mechanic to the spell.

3) Incorporate the Poison Cloud mechanic. The tao lays down a 3x3 patch on the ground, which provides the buff to allies which walk over it.

4) Make the spell a 3x3 or 5x5 area spell. (In my opinion the worst improvement which could be made to it :welcoming:)

I've had Idea 1 for a while now, the others popped into my head writing this post. Idea 3 is my favorite!
