Oooh yeah that would be cool, making the tao 'drop' the area down on the floor, giving him/herself the buff instantly anyways. any grp members have gotta run to get it!I like 3 but tweaked so that the centre of the 3x3 is the Taoistit's hard to cast on the exact point you want in large lures.
1 is still bad at level 1/2 or in a group of 4/5 where you don't have much class variation.I have a few ideas for the possible improvement of Ultima Enhancer:
1) When it is cast on a player, it buffs every group member of the same class. A bit like the Greater Blessings in World of Warcraft. In other words, cast it on an Archer and all Archers in the group will receive the buff.
This change would make the most difference when you have a full group of 11 players.
Coding this might be a pain as I don't know of any spell mechanics in Mir which work this way.
2) Add the static shot mechanic to the spell.
3) Incorporate the Poison Cloud mechanic. The tao lays down a 3x3 patch on the ground, which provides the buff to allies which walk over it.
4) Make the spell a 3x3 or 5x5 area spell. (In my opinion the worst improvement which could be made to it :welcoming
Edit:
I've had Idea 1 for a while now, the others popped into my head writing this post. Idea 3 is my favorite!
making UE able to UE the whole group would be a great idea they did it on arcadia and it worked/works nice no non stop using every sec cause you missed someone.
Still no feedback from Sam or BH.
Pwease, pwease?
Whilst we're at it can warriors TDB every mob on screen, wizards shock & Tbolt every mob on screen?? Having it do entire group with no effort is ridiculous. You're turning tao's into a lazy class.
Poison pulling, pet management, buffing, healing, revelation for bosses and resurrecting dumb ****s who are probably like you when they walk into an army of Zuma archers, yeah, totally a lazy class. I'm sorry we are merely asking a buff to be put in line with our other two buffs and I am sorry for asking for the ice cream to have a cherry on top.
No I am not being sarcastic, honest.
- Trying to target that constantly shifting Warrior model as it TDB everything it sees.
- '****ing Shinsu you're blocking my way'
- Poison other targets even though it has 'locked' your previous target(???)
Do you want the cherry or not?
If one Tao is doing all of that for a group of people then they are punching above their weight massively on the mobs they are killing, or their group is these dumb fk's you're talking about.
Just asking with no valid argument apart from you're not able to cast your entire spell catalog fast enough before it runs out, Just because you have a spell doesn't mean its needed to kill / play the game. UE is a buff.. a bonus, not required, when push comes to shove if you need extra DC or a heal, you get a heal. Its play without a buff or die, its simple logic. No need for the cherry as long as you got the ice cream!
You prioritize spells to the situation, each is different, each is unique. Its a Tao's role to analyse and cast spells accordingly, not have the same game plan for every situation being a donkey! That my cherry friend is a lazy Tao.
AC Buff, AMC Buff, Mass UE, Poison, Mass H, Mass H, Mass H - Repeat.
I cant understand this concept where people feel require this constant ++ on their stats with a Taos spells. Its a luxury not a necessity. Just because other skills are mass attack doesn't mean UE needs to be, heck maybe there was a reason it never was made into a mass skill? Next it'll be Mass puri!
These are all downsides that effects skills for other classes not just a Tao, so won't bother commenting about those.
Because AoE UE would somehow magically increase our damage or utility, like AoE TDB or AoE TBolt would.. in what world?Whilst we're at it can warriors TDB every mob on screen, wizards shock & Tbolt every mob on screen?? Having it do entire group with no effort is ridiculous. You're turning tao's into a lazy class.
If your Tao hasn't enough time to cast all his spells you've got too many otherclasses:tao ratio! I've played a tao for my entire time on mir, and all these mass spells ruin the fun of playing a support class and make it easy for any tom dick and harry to come on, be leveled and claim to be worlds greatest tao cause they can throw down a AOE spell every 2 seconds in a pretty order for duration of a hunt/boss.
Probably because you're idea is making taos too easy, isn't needed.
Again. Mass Puri > implications for PvP, especially when more people get PC, unlike AoE UE.AC Buff, AMC Buff, Mass UE, Poison, Mass H, Mass H, Mass H - Repeat.

It's just a quality-of-life improvement that has no impact on game balance whatsoever and brings our third self/other timed duration buff in line with our other two that nobody saw fit to whine are OP as AoE for 13 years.
But thank you for your valuable, well-thought out, not at all trolling and very constructive criticism.

You do realize that Taos have 4 jobs in a group hunt, right? Rez (which is occasionally - ideally never - needed), heals (or rather converting mana pots into HP with some efficiency) a 20% damage buff for the damage dealers and buffs.
Take away the utility of our buffs and we're left as heal/poison bots. Wanna know what that rotation would look like? Poison, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Poison, Heal, Heal. You're right, that would make it a very complex and engaging class and so much fun to play! Right, guys? Right..? Anyone? No..?
Also UE didn't appear in Mir 2 until after [a skill that is more similar to Chronicles' UE than to Euro UE] had appeared in Mir 3 where it was, you guessed it, AoE! Clearly it was never intended to be a mass skill.
While you're single target buffing people during boss fights and feeling smug that you're a far superior breed of Tao that has no need for AoE buffs do your team mates per chance die due to a lack of heals, since that's why they brought their poison bot with them?
Do you also SS/BA each member individually to prove your superiority to other Taos?
Do you pound your chest and shout "GRONK! SMAVID BUFF SINGLE TARGET! NO NEED PUNY AOE BUFF! YOU DIE BECAUSE YOU WEAK, NOT TAO FAULT!" when they die because you've been spamming SS/BA/UE for the past 25 seconds?
@Jez: making UE AoE doesn't make playing a Tao "easier" any more than having UE be single target makes playing a Tao "harder". It makes playing a Tao less prone to make you feel frustrated because your team mates are high and don't understand the concept of "if you see me UE myself sit still for the next 2 seconds so that you can get one too".
