Well recently i have been using .asp and when i put it on my apache webserver it just reads as text -_- anyone know why and how to change this please ?

Search google for configuring ASP to work with Apache. Also, the site you linked to doesn't have PHP support meaning anyone can download any PHP file they choose. Download PHP from the php homepage to enable it (make sure you get the correct one for your version of apache)

hmm i sorted it but when i try and install the forums it says i have chosen MySQL... is it possible to make it so i can use MS SQL or can i use both on my pc at once anyway ?

there is a ms sql thing for invision but u need to buy it (or warez sites)

bah MySQL sux lol :/ keep getting errors with it when installing like the service wont start... and i dont see where i open to get the the place where im sposed to create databases and type my password for that matter :S

Afaik MySQL and MsSQL use the same listen port (3306 iirc) Thus only one can be run at a time per machine.

ok spose i will just use MySQL for now then, still having problems with it tho
wen i install i just find 2 things in start / programs / MySQL ..... theres MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard and MySQL Command Line Client .... what do i do now :S:S

Apache, PHP and MySql are all compicated stuff, as they started life on Linux, they are driven by txt files for the set up. Now if your running windows you can get a pre-compiled and setup ready to rock set of files which includes Apache, PHP, MySql and loads of other bits (email and FTP etc).

By the way, MySql uses a different port to MS-SQL :

MySql Uses port 3306
MS-SQL usaes port 1433

ok i sorted my problem lol i just had a crapy version of mysql, anyway now i install it and i goto the admin manager thing and i get this..
