hi im using apache web server and i am having a bit of trouble trying to get people to connect, ive configured my router so they can connect on port 80 but know 1 can connect just comes up with Page can not be displayed yet i can see it :S

i know the configuration is correct as i have dne the same to host a mir server which people could access, was j/w if there was any more ports i needed to allow any way here is a screeny of the router setup:

yes, you are but i have allowed this port but people still can't connect :S but i allowed my mir server ports the same way and they worked.

what about xp firewall?
also try another port... could be ISP blocking port 80

some isp blocks port 80 because they don't want you to host a webserver... so use another port... any random number 31294, 2374, 9893 whatever.

PlusNET are an example of an ISP that block port 80 (my friend used them and was annoyed about it, ended up switching)

edit- nvm got it working now, just made apache listen on a differnet port and it worked :S, thnks for your help ppl.
