right well:
i was on my friend robs website, when i clicked on guestbook.
message popped up: "Your computer is infected with a backdoor trojan" it sed this in my norton antivirus. i quarantined and then deleted the files...
guess what?
new message: "You are still infected."

iv done the scan twice, and had the same message each time...

any help please?

I got no virus, though, I clicked "No" when it asked me if I should trust CJB....

Try and get the absoloute address (Path) from you Anti-Virus program telling you where the Trojan is located, go there manually and delete it....

norton is crap. plain and simple.

use either avg or my personal favorite, panda antivirus. nuff said.

I use Kaspersky AVP Platinum, i've had it for ages and it's always worked great for me.

i know a lot of ppl who use and like avg, and ive tried it once and its fine.

but my fav is always panda, trojans virusus whatever. and it doesnt give u no little girl message like "oh crap its still infected!". it takesd cvare of the job.

im gonna scan the computer again 2nite, and then get the area of the trojan(s).
CJB.net is what forwards my url... ys it got a trojan stuck in it?

fixed it now, reinstalled loads of stuff, and eventually found files and deleted.

I prefer norton over the others, as it's the most comprehensive scanner.

Anyways, make sure the files norton detects aren't read-only, it's a common virus trick which stops a lot of AV programs.
