I was not commenting on bard. Just archers in general.

Im so slow i cant even hit a moving target on my archer so when i see archers running and targetting people that are running i dont think "oooo good archer" i think "fast archer"

Is there even such a thing as a good archer? Aside from lining up piercing shot on moving targets i cant think of any other "skill" involved.


If Reno hade a ping of 80-100 ms he would not play coz he is not that good :P

Any archer that is not at the speed cap is a "bad archer" simply because they die before they even see the hit(s) land.

This " speed cap " is marvellous, every time some1 new starts server and there fast as **** does it magically update it's self?

far as i can see this server is no different to any other... you got slow peeps , normal peeps , fast peeps , then the 1 or 2 dodgy peeps.

( for example no1 thought u could be depresses speed due to this "cap" but seeing is believing as they say... )

Ive sacrificed around 11 dc on shrek for 100+ hp and its made a massive difference to me, i do agree that AB should go back to how it was before, ranged classes shouldn't have to get close to people to hit them with high damage and if they should have to do that then maybe they should have some kind of shield just like wizards, i could be totally wrong but i think someone mentioned you had a spell that stopped a % of damage in beta? if so what happened to this?

As i've said before make power shot work against any level and make it push the caster back rather than the target it gives them some form of escape and makes use of a spell that is currently not really used by anyone other than me and maybe KT as most archers aren't high enough level to push the average level player in game away from them, the fact is most archers aren't leveling after 43 as you can get all your available spells by then with the right weapon and kit you can destroy people and there isn't really anything to level for, the only reason i leveled past 46 (which was level 3 ab) is to start making my way to level 3 piecrcing shot (lvl 48) another fix would be to make AB like shadow step where at lower levels its less consistent and needs to be level 3 to make it worth using (would also push archers to actually level) then you need to think about adding more high level damage spells for them aswell as something to negate damage (please no more buffs we already have enough to cast as it is)

I know its a wall of text but it has valid points in there, make the decoy cool down only come into effect after you've switched places would only be a partial fix but still wouldn't negate being 1 hit.

i do agree with archers tho , there shouldn't be a cool-down on decoy until after you've switched places, you haven't really used the spell until you switch in my opinion.

Yeah lol, what I was thinking, it's there to use as a distraction, like casting a rested pet behind you....

If you guys noticed what decoy does ( and is probably the main mechanic of the spell) when you swap places with decoy it casts sort of like a spell on the clone that pulls mob agro on to the decoy.

I want advanced shadow step on an archer...

I do not think making Decoy an instant teleport (same as shadow step) and having the benefits of leaving behind a Decoy... (making shadowstep shlt in comparison) is a sensible move.

There are plenty of archer suggestion threads.
Sam has already said he plans on changing some things, such as skills to remove/reduce the cooldowns between casts, skills to reduce the cast time (animation) of spells so that hit and run is a smoother quicker transition.

If archers could almost - hit while running (depending on the exact mechanics of that spell he mentioned before) they would be very good in large fights and only killable if they get flinched first.

lets just wait and see what they do with archers. I do agree its long long long overdue and should be made a priority.

Sigh..... its not instant if you have to first cast decoy then cast it again to swap with it . then you get the cooldown.
