Updates:
Storyline: there are 3 types of storyline, Player, Guild and Server. Say ur a super duper level 40 warrior, and ur making regular trips wiping out a particular boss or KR, it may be that one day on your arrival, you will be "ambushed" and attacked by more/stronger mobs (also happens to guilds)
Guilds who make a point of exploring areas deeper may discover new areas. Upon defeating the boss of this area, they get an item that allows them to reach this area easier. Guilds can also undertake guild quests, that will lead to a "super boss" which will drop items of benefit to the entire guild. (some may only even spawn once)
Server Storylines: As new areas are uncovered by explorers, they may trigger events, say u find a totally new area, and slaughter everything inside, the mobs will more than likely retaliate, and by retaliate, i dont mean a 30 minute event where everything gets wiped out, and people get a few items and everyone lives hapilly ever after.
Retaliation would be more on this scale :- you piss off boss XXX and all of a sudden the lands are invaded by the most powerful of his henchmen, who will occupy the lands killing people for days on end, they will invade entire maps, towns and other temples, and will generally really piss u off and make life difficult.
Town Development: Fortresses, Upon completion of a guild quest, the guild town will be granted rights to "fortress" this means if they can collect enough resources, and gold etc, they can fortify an area for personal use. So say u want to be greedy and keep a KR to yourself.... Fortress it off, and other players will need to break in before thay can hunt.
Also, players will now be able to "relocate" towns as they explore... this will of course cost, but what could be better than finding a huge cavern and housing your town in it? Ultra defence if u ask me!
Sabuk wall development: Sabuk wall will be ravamped into a large castle type area, the inside being a Dungeon type map, and there will be 3 or 4 "vantage points" like towers etc.
Node Keys: Nodes provide defences for your town, using node keys, you can summon nodes of various strengths etc. When deveoping your town you can submit co-ordinates for the nodes. Using this system u can strategically place nodes to defend key points in your town..... They will be NPC summoned, but be warned, the nodes are only stones, so if you block of entire areas with them you may limit your own access.
Teleport scrolls.... are almost no more.... The only teleports available are town-teles. Even these are hard to come by, they will only be dropped by "ancient runes" stones which contain the information to tele. The runes will spawn in special chambers, and can only be destroyed by magic, the catch is, gaurdians will spawn to protect nodes, and gaurdians are immune to magic... so teamwork is required!
