for a start i would suggest getting a seperate host to keep your files on, as they tend to be big in size, and demand a farly large amount of bandwidth.

ive never set up an auto patcher. but at a guess, (looking at the client side of things) you would then upload your main folders onto the root directory of your host.

edit your 'KaoriPatchGZ.ini' file to resemble the following,

KaoriPatchBanner=http://www.legendofdomain.webs.com/images/banner.jpg

KaoriPatchListFile=http://www.yourdomain.com/!klist.gz

KaoriPatchServer=http://www.yourdomain.com/

KaoriPatchDir=./Data/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Items/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Monster/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Weapon/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Human/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Npc/
KaoriPatchDir=./Map/
KaoriPatchDir=./Wav/

KaoriPatchGameExePath=./Mir2.exe

*note that 'yourdomain.com' would be the domain name linked to your server hosting the files and not your website.*

zip the .ini file and the kaoripatch.exe file up using winrar or winzip (or what ever you may use)

upload it to your website (http://www.legendofdomain.webs.com/files/) or where ever you want to store the zip file. then simply create a link on your website directing to that file. ie. Patch

all that is a complete guess mind you :D but worth a try lol

separate host to keep your files on << a must have if you run it of same pc its going to cause you lag when people do update/download files for your server....

This is how mine is set up, will he not need the KaoriPatchAdminGZ? to so its would be a but easier on him. pretty easy to set up once you are up and running it is alot easier to manage your updates also mapping your drive to a ftp site if u choose to go down that route.....

i used Qhost for a ftp site they are pretty good i have ran with them for over 2 months now Great for setting up a patcher files.

configuration settings in the patcher i run from ftp server not host PC.....

Kaoripatchgz
KaoriPatchName=server <<< name of patch/client
KaoriPatchBanner=http://url address for your image <<<< image using on the patcher (you do not have to have one)
KaoriPatchListFile=http://Filehostit(ftp ip)/~Foldername/!klist.gz <<<<< the klist its will be reading to find out what files players need to d/l
KaoriPatchServer=http://Filehostit(ftp ip)/~foldername/ <<<<< the folder name its in on the file host where they will be d/l them from
KaoriPatchDir=./Data/
KaoriPatchDir=./Map/
KaoriPatchDir=./Wav/
KaoriPatchDir=./music/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Human/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Monster/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/NPC/
KaoriPatchDir=./Graphics/Weapon/
KaoriPatchGameExePath=./Name.exe <<<< name of your exe
(Basically it reads a full client (in winrar (gz's) you created and uploaded on to a external server/network)

mine works perfectly......from ftp if you do need patcher files and admin i can pass on if needs be.........

Link to my auto patcher amend whats needed (not client files) i have added the admin patcher to if you need it (just uploaded)
