AutoDesk 3ds max 2012

How do i attach objects? When i add a new object it interacts with the current object so there's attaching together (Which i don't want)

I want all the stuff i create to be separably.

So if anyone knows how to attach and object then naming it please post below.

Edit: Fixed (When you add a new object it gives it self a name.

Can students from a certain college get free access to "Auto desk 3Ds Max 2013"???

What is best tutorial site?! I really wanna learn but i don't learn through doing it myself because i never know what does what and it would take me even a longer period of time to figure out what does what.

So if you know a good site on how to create a model character what i could give ago that'd be great! And maybe once i try'd this i may be able to do some others (My own) lol.

Also any chance you know how to make it so..

Example: I create a short animation and i would like to show to a friend. (How do i upload it to an image size and it does all the animation once showed).
