You're alone there!

Colours are off mate - they don't compliment each other which can totally ruin any sort of design. Get your pallet sorted before thinking of your layout.

I'd say stick with the vBulletin colours, the blues and whites.

Here's a quick attempt by me, I kept it simple & blue. Not used Photoshop in over 2 years though!
