Base Euro Set Up

Anyone link the best thread on LOMCN (if u know it) for a dummy guide to completely setting up a Euro type clone Mir2 server “if there is one”

All Euro Items/Maps/Mobs in fully editable and database.

Had a quick skim through certain posts, I’m sure ppl know off by heart the best dummy guide to use tho?

To the best of my knowledge there is no 100% complete clone available, easiest would probably be Crystal with Daneo's DB.

All of the 'official leaked' euro databases I've seen have contained at least some incorrect data, so take them with a pinch of salt

Haha, I agree its not perfect, buts it's a massive improvement on nothing

Daneo did a decent job putting that together.. but yeah its not 100%

Is there a better one available to the public?

Not for the newer stuff no, so I might try and clean it up/bring it up to speed with Korean. The owner of mir2db told me they've been updating the site so I can work off that.

I would say everything Euro upto 2.3 would be good, but would be happy with less if it’s easier to get hold of

On step 3 “downloading client” seems dummy proof so far hopefully I can get it all set up

With the database I released, was put together from many sources so they are not 100% correct, and the database was done to keep up with the source under test conditions and was never released for online use

After looking at the way the Korean item DB has gone after level 45, there is zero point in mimicking it. It's just not conducive to our player count or play style.

See bit about need to download DB, so did that, checked map info and don’t appear to have any map.

Any ideas? I’m carrying on reading for now to find a solution but someone may speed it up for me.

You could download the released database, but in comparison of where the current Mir Source is im unsure if there will be conflicts.

Should take approx 2mins to getting a map, safezone added, account created, disabling DB enforced checks,

1. Server\Configs\Setup.ini
change EnforceDBChecks=True to EnforceDBChecks=False
2. Server.exe Config -> Server -> Version path (Locate Client.exe) or uncheck the check version tickbox. -> close
3. Database -> Map ->

File name = 0
Map Name = Bichon Province

Safezone tab

Add -> 288,616 size 10 -> tick start point

4. Create account, make admin

Visual Studio 2019 community “doesn’t work” have tried and failed to install.

Visual Studio 2017 “I’ve read doesn’t support” although I havnt tried this yet

Visual Studio 2015 “not much info I can find”

If anyone has windows 10 home and they are using Visual Studio, can they suggest which one is best suited? (Which will work for the set up and MirServer I have)

P-S obviously if I have to change windows edition I will but if I don’t need to....

Having a lot of fun with what I can do Server side already, just can’t do everything I want without the VS.

The edition of Windows doesn't matter unless you require Docker (which isn't required here)

I use Visual Studio 2019 Community, been a while since I installed it in it's entirety, there are some steps you need to take for the client to build (Setting up the DirectX dependencies) but the server shouldn't require any other setup, CTRL + SHIFT + B will build the whole solution.

There are other IDE's such as Visual Studio Code and JetBrains Rider (free months trail I think)

I believe after spending hours last night renaming items and moving SZs about it was late and I must have been tired lol.

Retried 2019 VS Community just now and downloaded the core fine

(I’m guessing I ticked the multiple workloads and tried downloading to much)

Anyways onwards and upwards
