Basic Map

Just thought id give mapmaking a go after a yr or so of not using the editor.

I put it together under 20mins so its pretty basic although i haven't added any deatils in yet, its gonna be used in my server for basically just a lvling cave with a few Sub-Bosses.

lol, cheers for replys, its not my first map, but it is my first in over a year

and i couldnt find a corner part to go at the top right so i inverted one lol :S

Was going to say, read the first post. Yeah it's ok very basic.

how did you do the tiles? I think you done the entire floor in 1 detail tile? So it looks like a pattern. If you have done this you should fill or auto draw the groun for area's that size, detail tiles should be used for well detail :P


Sorry if im wrong, maybe its just the size and my eyes today.

As for the corner you will need to do some tweeking by deleting certain bits of the wall.. Which will then allow you to place the correct wall. However there is a corner bit for it i'm sure.

Nah i had used detail tile, needed to kill some time and i just coloured in the black bit :P was unsure if i autofilled it it woulda killed the black part.

Also i think it's my tiles.wil has been edited by some numpty.

Good attempt for your first go. You actually made a quite nice structured map.

If you want too improve I would say keep practicing and try adding in objects like stones, pillars etc onto the map. The structure could be improved abit if it had more symertry too it.

As I said. Great try for a first time mapper.
